Gio Rana's Really Really Nice

An amazing restaurant with unmatched ambience and food! We came in late, right before closing and we were welcomed with enthusiasm and kindness. The decor is extraordinary and is matched only by the knowledgeable staff and the delectable food. We had the beat salad as our antipasti. It was tasty and looked beautiful with delicious beats, goat cheese, rocket, crunchy chickpeas, and a balsamic finish. For our main we shared the involvitini, pulled pork wrapped in carpaccio and grilled to perfection, served with a mouth watering jus. We had the brussel sprouts slaw as our side. If beautiful and complex flavours are your thing try the slaw. The brussel sprouts mix perfectly with pancetta and asiago. Mariah Carey and the best 90s pop were on the whole time giving the place a festive vibe! I felt at home and truly appreciated this Toronto gem! Everything was reasonably priced. Check it out!

Best restaurant in the city. I've only been here twice but it's always been amazing. If I could make more money, I'd eat here every day. This place is only semi expensive because they do it right. The steak(bistecca) could be a little bigger. Staff is super charming and sweet. I want to marry the hostess.

Me and my partner had the most amazing experience at Gio Rana’s. The food is incredible, I highly recommend the Burrata and focaccia. Our server Jellay was not only so kind and knowledgeable but her service was amazing. Our night couldn’t have been better! Gio Rana’s is definitely our new favourite restaurant, thank you!

GREAT good! Great ambience!!! Id like to recommend them to add some vegetables or any carbs to their Osso Bucco dish. Its delicious but needs something to pair it with! GREAT TIRAMISU

I have been meaning to drive this place literally for almost 20 years since they open. I finally managed to make my way back down to Leslie Ville and tried it last minute. We managed to grab two seats at the bar without any weight despite the fact that there was probably 100 people waiting to be seated at tables. Staff were all incredibly nice and friendly and helpful from our bartenders to our servers to the hostess. But the food… The food was absolutely amazing. Possibly some of the best pasta I’ve had anywhere and that incredibly affordable prices with huge portions. We have the deli and the OR with Asha. It was amazing. I would definitely highly recommend these to anyone. That was amazing as well. I would definitely return and I could not recommend this place enough.

Top notch service! Delish food and awesome atmosphere. Came here on a Thursday night and had a great experience. We walked right in. Our server was super attentive and had an awesome personality. We got the calamari to start, and gnocchi, sea bass (special) and broccolini (special) to share for two people. Everything was delightful and really flavourful. The fish was cooked perfectly and we had to option to have it filleted. Most restaurants over-salt the fish but here it was seasoned perfectly. Will definitely come back again and try more things on their menu!

All the food at Gio's is so lovely and the staff are such friendly folks. You won't be disappointed with dinner, just be aware the music is a bit louder than we would like (an excellent playlist though) so if you prefer a softer sounding environment I'd recommend grabbing take out or their patio!

Comfort Italian spot I can visit repeatedly for amazing quality and reasonable pricing. Spent ~$120 between 2 people for food, wine, and dessert! We went late on a weeknight and it was packed. We ordered the giant meatball, beet salad, pappardelle, and involtini. The involtini (pork shoulder wrapped in ribeye) stood out for being so hearty, tenderly cooked, and unique. I don't remember the last time I had such a good main for $20. There's usually one dish that can be amiss if I order multiple items, but everything hit the spot flavour and texture wise. The music is quite loud but the dinner ambiance/lighting was kooky and interesting. It's a great place to come with friends.
