Awesome dim sum place!!! They also have the early bird deal. (when you arrive before 11am ish) Portion is huge compared to other places, and the dim sum items are delicious!!

A small neighbourhood family restaurant in traditional setting with simple decoration. The food quality is ok but nothing special or extra good. The service is basic. The restaurant is basically clean. However as the pictures show the plate for the rice rolls is dirty, so as the soy sauce bottle.

You get the value for the price. Food was decent. Crab and lobster were not the freshest from the tank but ok. The chicken was actually very good. What do you expect for $108 before taxes and tips? Service was slow. Be prepare to wait for your dishes to come out.

It has been a few years since we had been to Ginger and Onion, and it was at their old location. We had heard some great reviews from our friends about O&G so we decided to go for dim sum and try it. The restaurant was not that large and decorated modestly. Seating was good, tables were not crowded together. We were a party of 6 and ordered 13 varieties of dim sum and nearly all was 2 of each order. So yeah a lot of food. I’m not going to bore you by listing what we had, just the highlights. Seafood dumpling with egg whites, deep fried enoki mushroom beef roll, salted egg custard buns and crispy top steam rice roll with shrimp. Now each of there dishes I have not seen before done this way at other restaurants. They had excellent flavour and visually pleasing. Other dim sum that we order were very good as well and were presented differently compared to other restaurants. The BBQ bun we ordered had a square design of matcha on top, just small twists to what we usually see and taste. This gave everything a refreshed look. The overall service was attentive, we had hot water for tea when needed, new plates and extra napkins which we appreciated. Since the first time we have been back 3 to 4 times already. An additional bonus is if you go before 11 am there is a special/one price for S/M/L dim sum. As you can tell I would recommend G & O for dim sum.

Came here for dimsum. They have some items at special pricing before 11:30am on weekdays. It started to get very busy at around 10am and there was a big crowd of people waiting at the door. Large selection of dishes and portions were big. Overall everything was pretty good. They accept cash only and they include tip in the total on the bill. Service was mediocre.

In summary: yes🧐😊. 1) The duck skin片皮鴨 is delicious, but the lettuce wrap is too oily. 2) The sweet and sour pork is super authentic👍👍 and worth tasting😁😘. 3) 🦞🦞Lobster: I think "魚樂軒” is the most irreplaceable. Because the food here is too oily, the lobster meat is too dripping🤨, and the food here has too much oily. I didn’t even finish it...it was already loaded with my head. 😣 4) The longevity peach buns are delicious 😘😘👍👍

Though it's kind of like the new norm, but I don't believe businesses are legally entitled to just add tips in the bill. It's like they have taken it for granted. Don't get me wrong, I usually tip good, but just don't like this attitude of taking tips for granted. And I don't think the CRA accepts it, Right? Or did our Canadian government just compromised for it and let it slide? In reply to the owner's response, why is it in the bill then? We went in for dinner last night to celebrate mid autumn festival with my family. We have 7 adults and 1 kid. We ordered their suggested 6 to 8 people combo, there was a surcharge of $30 because it's a holiday weekend. We also added a full serving side of the Peking duck and caggabe bun for around $75 more. After the Peking duck (which look nothing like a whole duck and the serving looks only good for at most 2 people) and the rest of the dishes of the combo came in. We realized it was not enough and ordered 4 more dishes. Portions are extremely small, taste is expected, nothing really stand out.
