Gilaneh Restaurant

Had an amazing dinner experience at Gilaneh. The traditional yet upscale vibes mixed with the super tasty and authentic Persian food makes Gilaneh a great experience. I would highly recommend this the Sultani dish! Gilaneh is truly a great restaurant!

Very beautiful place with delicious food, but unfortunately, the staff is not as professional or welcoming as one would expect from a Persian restaurant. The level of hospitality could be improved to match the high expectations customers have. If they work on training their staff to deliver a more professional and welcoming experience, I am confident this could become one of the best restaurants in the GTA!

Delicious authentic Persian restaurant in North York. One of the best Vaziri plates and Persian ice cream I’ve ever had! The Fresh bread was also amazing! Restaurant is quite large with lots of seating and it has a section on the other side of the entrance for live entertainment. Plenty of parking available and suitable for small to large groups. Located by the Pan Pacific Hotel on York Mills.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. First, the food took forever to arrive, well over an hour, even though the place wasn’t that busy. When it finally did come, the chicken kebabs were completely undercooked—still raw in the middle! It’s unacceptable to serve food in this condition. I was honestly worried about getting sick. The rest of the meal was bland, and not worth the wait. Definitely won’t be coming back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Terrible service and even worse food.,

We recently held our daughter’s engagement party at Gilaneh Restaurant, and I can’t express how thrilled we are with the experience! From the moment we arrived, Ms. Tara, the manager, ensured everything ran smoothly. The timing and management were impeccable, and the table arrangements were both well-organized and beautifully set. The food was absolutely outstanding! We enjoyed an array of dishes, including Kebab Torsh, Joojeh Kabab, Kabab Koobideh, Shevid Polo & Mahicheh, and Kashk Bademjan. Each dish was prepared to perfection and truly showcased the rich flavors of Persian cuisine. A special shoutout to the bartenders for their kind and polite service to our guests—they made everyone feel welcome and catered to throughout the evening. Thank you, Gilaneh Restaurant, for making our celebration unforgettable! We highly recommend this venue for any special occasion.

Beautiful ambiance, nice work on the design. Appetizers were great. Fresh bread was nice. Torsh kabab disappointed me. Kobodeh was fine.low quality baklava.

The building is rather old and the restaurant is located on the second floor with no elevators or escalators; so no accessibility options are provided to seniors or disabled. The restaurant is nicely decorated with traditional ornaments and decorations. The service is rather slow, especially if you come in as a group. The food is just okay; kebabs are not flavorful, but cooked well. Lamb shank, too.
