Got the curry goat for takeout with rice and beans and coleslaw. Staff was friendly, and the goat was very tasty and hearty. Serving size was great. I felt like the goat could have been braised just a touch longer (just two pieces were a little tough for my liking), but that's just picking nits. It won't stop me from coming back, which I plan to do regularly.

Gerrys is the spot. I first went there maybe 20 years ago. It was way after close. The owner was out front and I started talking with him. He went in, opened up and fixed me a plate. Every time I go to Toronto, it is the first place I go. Big up Donavon. Always filled my belly and treated me like fam. I wish all businesses ran like this. I am super loyal to them. I no longer live in Toronto, but I always recommend them to anyone I know there. Thanks for being you guys. Best stew chicken around.

tried over the weekend at salsa on st clair, can’t say I was unimpressed as the jerk chicken and chicken roti were very good. just wish they served gravy on side as the roti was a little dry & inform you that it’s bone in chicken used in it! nonetheless worth a visit good prices & atmosphere overall.

I ordered the curry goat and jerk pork. The goat was average and needed more seasoning. The pork was more stewed than jerk. The food was better last time. So maybe just an off day. I was not impressed. I give high marks for the service.

What a great spot for Jamaican food. We walked in with no expectations and left with full bellies and hearts! Donovan’s a great guy. He’s all smiles and very welcoming. We chatted for a while and he shared so much of his family’s history and stories, it felt like we were having lunch at an uncle’s place. The space is very welcoming, and is constantly busy. I didn’t know anything about Jamaican black cake/ christmas cake or what sorrel was and he was so kind to share his knowledge and let me have a little taste. What a treat! They were both very delicious, the christmas cake was so moist and light, I definitely have to order it for my family next time. We had jerk chicken, rice and peas, steamed veggies and a spicy beef patty each. The price was very reasonable and the food was hearty and tasty. The patty pastry was also flaky and smelled inviting. What we thought would be a regular lunch turned out to be a wholesome experience. I highly recommend this neighborhood spot and definitely will come back for the food!

If you’re looking for some wonderful jerk or curry, this is the perfect place to go. I rate this as the better establishment on St. Clair, between Bathurst and Dufferin. Portions are generous and very tasty. We ordered curry goat, jerk chicken and jerk pork. All were wonderful. We will be back.

Went to the place the second time because I couldn't forget the curry goat I got last time. It was still good. Super super tender meat and the portion was good (around $15 for a small box full of meat with a side, it was more than enough for me.) Will come back again to try the patty next time!

Great service and friendly staff! I got myself a small Jerk Pork, the food came with coleslaw as sides and the portion is bigger than I expected. Definitely worth the price for the size of the food and really enjoy the food too!
