Georgy Porgys Grill & Bar

This place is the best of the best. Solid quality, that local corner bar atmosphere mixed with a chic display all around. We’ve been doing boys night here for almost 20 years, including some mass birthday parties held in the back corner beside the washrooms. The service is always top notch. The half honey garlic half mild wings are always on point and the long time waitress Sherlie always comes to us with a smile. I would definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the area. Their chicken souvlaki dinner is also really tasty along with their chicken fingers.

Excellent service I forgot servers name red hair tied back might be new. Good perfect my friend had the fish and chips other friend seafood linguine and I had onion soup with garlic bread all very good. Atmosphere sporty crowed but not loud. 8 stars!! That night

Georgy never disappoints.. the food and service is consistently 5 stars! Large portions great quality. Our server tonight Rosa was a pleasure to deal with…very attentive and extremely personable! The owner George will always make time to come out of the kitchen to say HI! I will definitely keep coming back!

2023 UPDATE: CHAOS AT THE BAR: At a recent Halloween event, we tried getting some drinks and water at the bar, and it was almost IMPOSSIBLE. First off, all access to the bar was blocked by a wall of patrons sitting, which obviously blocked people from speaking to the bartender. You would think if a bar has a FREE event, they'd want to make money from drinks, however, seems the opposite here. I stood there for 10 mins trying to make eye contact with one bartender - zero acknowledgment. Then, my wife went over to get a drink, and she literally waited for 15 mins - again, not a single bartender looked at her. Finally, she got the attention of someone who said, "I'm not a bartender," and walked away. THIRD attempt - I went to the middle of the bar and waved at a bartender who seemed annoyed at me for asking for a drink. We left shortly after that. IN SUMMARY: I can appreciate that things can get quite busy at any bar when there's a party. However, this is not Georgy Porgys first rodeo - they're seasoned pub with years of industry experience, so it's both surprising and unfortunate that the bar staff here IGNORES patrons and are almost ANGRY when attempting to order a simple drink. Perhaps George could consider assigning a bar manager who could 1) create an actual plan of how to run the bar at busy events and 2) train bartenders to LOOK at the people standing at the bar to see who's waiting for service instead of ignoring them. FINAL WORDS: This event has left us with such a bad impression of Georgy Porgy that I've lowered my initial star ratings and may never go back here again. .............. We've been to Georgy Porgys quite a few times, and the food and service are always good. On our last visit, we sat on the patio and were taken care of by Rosa. She's always so friendly and efficient as is all the staff there. My go-to meal is typically the slouvaki dinner. However, almost all the other dishes there seem to be done well.

Very nice. A little dark in color so still a little old-school but liked it. The food was plenty and filled with flavor. Portion and presentation was great. The atmosphere is nice and you know they cater to their regulars so that's a good sign. They have monthly events and weekly specials too. Clean facility that's also includes the washrooms. Every met our expectations and will be placed as our top 10 to go to for when we host events and gatherings, very comfy. Thursdays and Sundays they cater to sports fans so that will be interesting to see. We enjoyed a smash burger with home fries and a all day breakfast!!! The breakfast was absolutely awesome and I'm shocked there's not more images of their dish. It's a 2 min walk from the new sunset grill. I can assure you that this is now our new breakfast venue ! You guys nailed it !!! A big thank you. Now feast your eyes on these dishes and decor ! It's a Dyer thing !

Went here on a Friday evening! We wanted Patio seating as it was very loud inside. We ordered a lot of Starters and beer – the wings were absolutely great! We tried Hot, Holney garlic & cajun. All of them tasted really good. The honey garlic was too much honey and almost no garlic. The calamari fry was food. They have a big basket of waffle fries which was really nice. The nachos was not great – it was more like a salad topped rather than cheese and nacho ingredients. I am not sure who puts lettuce on top of nachos. The service was pretty quick, but my server had an impatient attitude. We are a party of 10 and she was in a hurry all the time.

We come here very often since it’s near our place and they close late night. The food takes a bit of time to come out but the taste and quality makes up for it. Price is also reasonable since the portions are quite big. Weekends can get busy and loud especially during the night so if you’re looking for a more chill atmosphere then come during the weekdays.

Food is extremely good. Came in a bit skeptical but exceeded all my expectations. Service was friendly and helpful. Food here is customizable can just ask and they don’t charge extra. Prices are on the high side but the quality is superb. The environment is chill and relaxed. There’s a bar area and a dining area. Decor is nice and well kept
