Refreshing to get good customer service and great food in one place. Jerk chicken wings are a must have , festivals are light and fresh, chicken soup was Jamaican homie... Yes it was . It was my first time, and I will be back!!!

First time here and ordered a jerk poutine. I seriously couldn’t tell if i was eating chicken or oxtail. The pieces of meat were chunky and very dry. I was expecting the meat to be pulled and way more tender. Won’t be coming back.

Ordered the boneless curry chicken ($15.00) Not good whatsoever! I got uncooked rice and I couldn’t tell you what kind of “boneless chicken”has skin and fat, tendons and membrane still attached. Not to mention almost EVERYWHERE else that claims to do “boneless” anything usually utilizes the breast! Yes we know the breast meat is more expensive however, you do charge a hefty $15.00 CAD for a regular size and an extra $4.00 + for a large. So why sell the cheaper type of meat when you market it as “Boneless” sheeesh! My Gosh! Thankfully I only ordered this. When it comes to my culture, I try to keep an open mind and so usually I’ll try something simple such as curry chicken with rice. I figure if you mess this up there’s absolutely ZERO chance I would try something that requires more skill and execution. My People please do better! Rice? Curry chicken? Come on - this should be a simple as whistling Dixie! If it were me, I’d close the shop down and get a proper chef in the kitchen before allowing such embarrassing food to be served… BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE!

Karen is pure love and warmth. One of the best Ackee/Saltish I had. I didn’t want rice cause I’m not tryna fall asleep in my meeting lol. Festival and ackee. Hit the spot. Will be back again!

I came by as this was local and we wanted some jerk chicken to go. This has to be some of the best jerk chicken in Toronto - smoky, cooked to perfection, and well seasoned (just look at that FRESH thyme)! Service was great too, much better than expected and MUCH better than other jerk spots! Prices were also quite fair. If you’re looking for some jerk right now, just come by here. You’re welcome! We got the jerk chicken with oxtail gravy, rice and peas, and coleslaw. 10/10 would eat again.

Updated: Sept 9,2024 Words cannot express my sincere appreciation and thanks to the ENTIRE team at GC Jerk Xpress❤️ I know that there was also a team behind the scenes working tirelessly 💕 Karen and her staff ( the two magnificent people next to her ) catered my father’s repass over this past weekend. Exceptional hospitality and service. They came in set the room up , made it beautiful! The food ….. the food…… the food Amazing- Jerk/ Fry chicken, Vegan Noodles, Vegan Coconut Curry Chick peas, Rice and Peas, Jerk Chicken pasta , Salad with Dressing amazing. Everything tasted like it was seasoned with love. And the service / exceptional. Thank you once again for being there in this difficult time for my family and I. The guest were also all blown away. I appreciate you! I highly recommend their services - Way too go❤️ Reviewed August 2023 : Love it love it love it!!!!! Food, service great!!!! Always get the jerk chicken, fried chicken, festival’s and the jerk pasta 🙂❤️❤️ Will have a customer for life …. And I tell everyone about the two locations. Both are both great! Highly recommend

First the food… it had taste and flavourful. Not too spicy, but good enough to let the flavour of the spices go through. Salad was fresh. The rice was a bit hard, but the festival was fresh and delicious. Place is very small with a few small tables. Primarily a take out place. Service was good and the place was clean.
