Gamberoni Restaurant

Nice and quiet atmosphere with a good selection of Italian dishes. Unfortunately the pancetta in my penne alla vodka was undercooked.

My wife and I had a nice dinner at Gamberoni in Midtown Toronto. We tried the Pollo Limone and Lasagne, and both dishes were quite tasty. The restaurant has a cozy, albeit a bit dated, atmosphere. We visited on a Saturday night, and it was relatively quiet with just one family dining and many empty tables. Despite that, we enjoyed our meal and the calm vibe. Overall, it was a good experience!

Great place, very tasty food and amazing service. Seafood platter for 2 was very good and definitely worth a try. Also would recommend carpaccio and salads very nice and fresh. Good wine selection with reasonable prices. Will definitely return.

We came here on a Saturday early evening dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids. The place was on a busy main area on Yonge street. Inside the restaurant was cute with older, but classy decor. We had reservations, but it was just us 4 inside, however it got much busier towards the later evening. They gave us fresh free bread that was good. We ordered the bruschetta 2 pieces, and the mains were the penne arrabbiata with Sausage added extra, Spaghetti and Meatballs, linguine gamberoni, and the sautéed shrimp and calamari. Ordered espresso martini for drinks, all pictures attached. The mains were big, quite filling. Everyone really enjoyed their mains, no one was talking to each other because everyone was so focused on their meals lol. I had the Linguine gamberoni and I appreciated that they put shrimps and scallops in ratio to the pasta, which were huge. We had to do take out box for a couple of the meals. The martini was delicious and would recommend getting. The host and servers were super friendly and polite, came by often enough to make sure we were all okay. I would recommend this place to eat because of their food and friendly and attentive service.

Gamberoni has long been a staple for North Toronto residents. This place is old-school Italian. That means large portions, heavy sauces, and friendly service. In comparison to other spots in the neighborhood, their portions are greater however, the food is not as refined. If you're looking for high-end Italian, this is not the place. However, if you want a nice night out, a big bowl of pasta or veal parmigiana and you don't want to be greeted at the door with the typical Toronto restaurant greeting, "We will need the table in two hours", then this place is worth a visit.

Amazing! I typically don’t go to this area but the Winterlicious menu options looked amazing and it did not disappoint. There was not one thing on the menu we didn’t like. The mussels were amazing, osso buco fantastic and the pastas were cooked to perfection with delicious sauces. One of our favourite things was that the food was not oversalted. You can TASTE the ingredients. The tiramisu and mascarpone vanilla cake were homemade which was a lovey surprise. This restaurant is family-owned and run, super cozy and you can tell locals love this place and they have a lot of regulars - even on a Tuesday night. We had a great experience and would definitely go back. Thank you!! ❤️

Food was okay at best. Pasta could definitely use more seasoning / flavor, and the veal seemed old. Hard to cut the veal, and cheese + sauce had little flavour. Mussels were good and the best of the meal, but for the increase in prices, we expected more. Servers were quick and friendly, so that's a plus.

We've been going to Gamberoni for many years and still love it. Great home style Italian at great prices. My go to dish is their amazing Linguine Gamberoni (shrimp and scallops). Today we tried the seafood platter for two and we loved it. On top of the tasty food, the service is exceptional and very friendly.
