Located in the No-Frills plaza in Oakridges / Richmond Hill is one of the more authentic and reasonably priced Korean restaurants in the GTA. Ingredients are fresh and plentiful in each dish - especially their amazing seafood pancake, bursting with an abundance of seafood and cooked to perfection. If you’re in the area or looking for an authentic/delicious Korean restaurant, look no further! Gamasot is really that good IMHO 👍 Top picks (so far) include; 1. OX Bone Soup 2. Seafood Pancake 3. Gamjatang 4. Fried Chicken 5. Jumbo Naengmyeong

Highly recommended this Korean restaurant! After waiting for so long, there is finally a real authentic Korean restaurant in North of Richmond Hill. Seafood pancakes and bibimap are must try, they are so good, so yummy. The restaurant is so clean and tidy, service are quick. If you love Korean foods, you should definitely come and try this restaurant.

Happy there are more Korean restaurants opening in this part of Richmond hill. Food is great but I took off a star for cleanliness. I could tell that the wooden holder for the bibimbap was never washed or wiped and had leftover stains from previous customers. It’s a small popular store so come earlier for seats.

Went back to my favorite Korean restaurant again, and it never disappoints! Everything was tasty, especially the soup, rich and full of flavor. The service was amazing as always. Also, I have to say, their kimchi is hands down the best I’ve ever had!

Just after Labour Day 2024 they just had their grand opening. Relatively small space though they were able to accommodate a group of 12 with a reservation. Had the pork bone soup which was nice with the perilla leaves. The army stew was good and even seemed to have different types of spam. The pork cutlet had a large portion. Missed the picture of the fried chicken and rice cakes which were both good. The rice cakes had some fried dumplings in it too. They unfortunately ran out of the pork belly. Everything seemed just a bit upgraded from normal Korean food. Side dishes were good. Servers were nice and apologetic about the longer than expected wait. Nice place and will probably be back if we’re in the area (to try the pork belly!)

Tucked away in a quiet corner of three no frill plaza is a small Korean restaurant that truly delivers big on flavor and services. The moment you step inside, you are greeted by the warm, inviting atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. The food is outstanding, with authentic dishes. The generous portions and fresh. Service is top-notch, with attentive staff who make you feel like a valued guest. Update: Oct 2024 Must try the chive pancake and also ox bone soup. The Ox Bone soup is the tastiest.

Gamasot is indeed a standout for authentic Korean cuisine in Richmond Hill. The pork bone soup is rich and flavorful, perfect for a hearty meal, while the dolsot bibimbap with its crispy rice and vibrant vegetables is a delightful treat. Both dishes showcase the restaurant’s commitment to quality and tradition. Definitely a place worth visiting for Korean food lovers!

A Korean restaurant very close by! 👍 I wouldn’t say it’s the best Korean food but good enough for me and the price is still acceptable. Seems it’s newly opened so the place is still clean. In this visit the restaurant gave us a complimentary dumplings, that’s a good gesture😊! We tried the pork bone soup and it’s quite good with good pork flavour and it’s boiling hot when it get to your table! We also tried the stone bowl with rice (bibimbup) , it’s quite good too! The stone bowl was thoroughly heated so the food in the bowl stay very hot ! 🙏
