Amala, Gbegiri, ewedu & stew was amazing! The assorted meat was soft and delicious! Very big portions! Such a beautiful restaurant! The food tastes amazing just as the service and the ambience. Also if you’re looking for a really sweet mock tail( the best!), try the passion fruit! ❤️

The food was really good and as someone who love spice it really hits the spot. The staff are also considerate for people who can’t handle spice and can make adjustments to your meal.

This restaurant is hands down the best Nigerian/African restaurant I’ve ever been to. The ambience is top notch, the meals are exquisitely delicious and the staff were truly lovely people. It was a beautiful experience in every sense.

I had Amala and zobo there. Round of applause please. When I entered, I was concerned at first because the space was beautiful (IYKYK) but the Amala slapped to match the aesthetics. The Zobo was great too. She doesn’t use sugar in her drinks. It’s dates that she uses as sweetener, a healthier choice. Happy to pay my bill plus more. A fantastic feast.

I absolutely loved my time at Funkey's. The food was so good and the service staff were also so courteous. The atmosphere and ambience were lovely. Very homely. I 100% recommend.

One thing imperative for me is customer service. And, this was exemplifed. She went over the menu and even gave some food suggestions. Very pleasant, patient and engaged well. NOTE: If you want fast food....then your in the wrong place. The food was FRESH, hot in temperature and just the right amount of spice. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, clean and just a postive experience overall. The portions were great.

To be very honest, this place is one of the beautiful African eateries I’ve been to in the GTA! Their food and atmosphere is top notch. Even though I did a takeout but sitting in and waiting for food made me feel very comfy.. Kudos to the owner! 🚀🚀

I got the Peppered Croaker Fish, Ayamase and Moimoi. The fish was amazing spiced well, wasn’t all peppery tho(personal preference), but I enjoyed it. However I thought it would come with pieces of yam, plantain and a little coleslaw as advertised on Uber eats. For the Ayamase it was superb, I enjoyed it so well. I loved the versatility in the meat (I ordered the assorted). I had the Ayamase for 2 servings so the portioning is good. For the Moimoi I didn’t eat it, my sister did and she said it was good, but the salt level was low(I can’t speak more on this tho). In general I’d recommend their meal and service. They did package everything properly to prevent spillage.
