Frijoles Niagara This place used to be some of the best Tex-Mex in the city, but now it's a complete rip-off. I recently went in to order two steak bowls, both with sauces on the side. The sauces were put directly on the bowls instead, and when I mentioned it to the staff, they remade them but repeatedly told me they can no longer do sauces on the side. The decline in service and quality is obvious — no wonder the Lundy's Lane location didn't work out. The staff seems very young and uninterested in providing good, friendly service. Everything feels rushed, and the vibe has really changed. This used to be the place where you'd never have to pay for guac, and now they're charging extra for "supposedly" included sauces ($3.50) on bowls that already cost $20 each! When I pointed out that we had no issue getting sauces on the side just a few weeks ago, the employee responded with, "Yeah, she doesn’t work here anymore," which felt really unprofessional to say to a customer. The owners have really let this business go downhill. Such a shame.

Put an order online on dineniagara and when I got to the restaurant I was told they can't put sauces on the side because it's more then they give you if they squirt it in the dish... I told the employee she should have called to ask about the sauces and she just shrugged it off . When you're spending 40$ on two bowls you're expecting it to get it the way you ordered it! This place use to preach that they would never charge for guacamole EVER! LOL and here they are charging for sauces now and guac.. Very disappointed

We had taco trios, a taco bag, and a burrito. The owner seemed really nice and explained well since it was our first time visiting there. Taco was amazing. The taco bag was really yummy. Maybe we made a mistake on burrito for putting too much beans, but it was fine as well. I see some reviews that the price has gone up too much, and I get that. But I don't think it's just Frijoles.. everywhere is too expensive now. I think they have a decent price for the amount of food they give. Tacos and burrito were pretty big.

Not sure what happened to this place. Use to be one of my absolute favourites. I understand inflation but when I’m paying $20 for a salad I am expecting a little bit more than this….

i’m upset i been thinking about getting dinner from this place all day, saw all my friends get a dorito taco bag and it was stuffed and filled to the brim. tell me how my is basically empty? and for 9$? absolutely not. this is disappointing, haven’t even taken a bite just mixed it up.

Flavour of the pork carnitas was unreal, tried both medium and spicy sauces, both were manageable heat with great flavours. Don’t be afraid to go in on toppings and sauces. Multiple options of Doritos for the walking tacos, and tons of protein and flavour options, Everything looked and tasted fresh, service was quick and friendly. They had more flavours of Jarritos than I think I have ever seen. Restaurant was well kept and tidy and the owner was even in and he was great. Worth the drive from welland, we will be back many more times.

I was disappointed with the beef, it was rather dry and chewy… Beef tacos are a staple and I expected better taste/texture. The FISH however was incredible, I would recommend the fish over any of the other meats! The service was fast enough and the atmosphere of the place is quaint. The price was a little high though at $6+ per taco and I wouldn’t mind but the beef really threw me off…

The food was very authentically created and tasted amazing! The girls behind the counter are all race friendly and helpful if you don't know what goes on a fish taco for the first time cuz I sure didn't but I wasn't disappointed with their suggestions and have been back a couple times since. It's a little bit of a wait cuz everything's made to order but it's well worth it.
