We had dinner at a moderately busy/peak time on Sunday night and food was tasty, but service flat out ignores you (perhaps understaffed). I would definitely get dinner takeout next time. From walking in, to getting the bill and paying, we were constantly ignored without any acknowledgement. We waited 20 minutes to place an order despite trying to get a waiter for 10, and any further requests (eg. asking for the complimentary dessert to be served so we could pay) needed at least 2 attempts to get someone to even make eye contact, much less a response. Two items from our order also ended up being incorrect, despite the waitress repeating what she wrote down for confirmation. They also forgot half the complimentary dessert and bill, and we had to ask them twice for it. (ordered sweet fried shrimp with broccoli, seafood veggie stir fry, fried fish fillet in corn sauce, jinsha bitter melon, black pepper beef mushroom, salt and pepper squid, half a chicken, also complimentary herbal pork/chicken soup and dessert: papaya snow fungus soup, mango pudding jelly, almond cookies)

This is the kind of food and experience that is too rare nowadays in Toronto. No frills, extremely affordable, and very tasty Chinese cuisine. The menu is extremely extensive, all in Chinese, and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is decent but you're looking at plastic table cloths and more dated furnishings. The staff are friendly but you may need to try a bit harder to get their attention sometimes. As for the dishes - nothing was too stand out, but that was fine. I was not expecting to get blown away, I eat a lot of similar cuisine. The portions were very generous and the taste is authentic. The peking duck was good but that portion was a bit small compared to other places. They were very generous with the sides for the duck, I don't think I've ever been given two helpings of cucumber / green onion / sauce before. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Don't be turned away by the small looking exterior - the restaurant is in the back of the plaza and sizable. Our total bill was $140 for 5 dishes plus a peking duck - VERY good.

Great dim sum without being ridiculously priced. We came for a late afternoon dimsum with my family and waited a few minutes for a table of 9. This place is definitely a bit run down compared to Skyview or other newer dim sum spots. We ordered the usual affair and everything came out hot and fresh. Highly recommend and would come back.

This place has been around for decades. Used to be my favorite place for authentic Cantonese dishes. Recently visited again and their quality still remained outstanding! All the dishes were ordered were delicious! And price is very affordable, comparable to food court price but quality is well beyond. Will definitely come back often!

It’s a restaurant with history and you feel like you’re back to 90s. Foods are fine but not impressive. One of the dish is cold and services need improvement.

Terrible rude service from the main male server with glasses. At the end of the meal, they served dessert which was mung bean with seaweed. One of our dinnermates could not eat this dessert, so we asked the server if there were other desserts available. In Cantonese, the word "dessert" is called "sweet water" (tong shui). The server responded to our question, "Yes, sugar and water." What an insulting rude reply! Never coming back. (Chicken dish was good. Lobster e fu noodles was fair -- e fu noodles tasted semi sweet. The other two dishes (bok choy with mushrooms and braised grouper with bittermelon). The grouper dish was not good. The grouper was very fishy and did not taste fresh.)

Dimsum was good. My kids love the Siu Mai. They are large and tasty. The duck and lobster was also very good. Service was a tad slow and could improve. We used to go to two other restaurants but they closed down and now this is the regular dimsum place for us.
