Food City

We have purchased food from Food City a few times and have always enjoyed it. We've tried their kottu roti, mixed puttu, mutton rolls and vechu roti. The mutton rolls had a good amount of mutton and the other mains purchased tasted great as well. We've also bought rice and veggy curries + mutton curry, which all tasted great and was priced well.

Chicken Kothu Roti and Mutton pottu Kothu, Both turned out to be bad. Basic ingredients are missing, Cabbage and carrot are not ingredients for these two dishes. The meat and roti was hard. Wasn’t fresh. When you sell an item be mindful of the food that you are preparing before handing out the food to the customer and be passionate about what you prepare.

It’s incredibly frustrating as a paying customer to continuously receive short eats that is neither fresh nor warm. When you spend your hard-earned money, you expect a certain level of quality, and it’s disappointing when that expectation isn’t met. Paying for food that isn’t even fresh makes you question whether they truly value their customers.

Went in first thing in the morning asked for fish buns took a bite it was cold like mid frozen when asked she said I made it last night and they charged 1.50 for one fish buns are never that pricey. Also got mutton rolls with no mutton. When I asked server they didn seem to care. Do not visit this place

We bought two mutton rotis but only roti were there no mutton. When we were asking about it the guy at the counter replied rudely.

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. We visited family that served us mutton rolls from the Take out place next to the grocery store. So decided to purchase mutton rolls and fish patties on our way back home. They were freshly made and good quality. I would recommend this place to anyone. Excellent customer service. Feedback about packing hot stuff like rolls or patties, place them in a box not a paper bag if the order is 15 or over. The ones at the bottom get crushed if placed in paper bags

Had such a terrible experience. My mom and I bought spring hopper mix and 3 kadalai vadai. Spring hopper mix went bad and smelled awful when I bought it home and the kadalai vadai was made the day before and they re-fried it the next day. I called the owner as I got his number through an employee and the first thing he asked me was how did I get the number and who I am. I told him what happened with the food and no apologies, no compensation or bring the food back. Nothing. Worst management ever. Never went back and don't recommend anyone to go there. Natha's Catering used to be there and I still don't understand why they closed. Hope they open a location in Pickering soon!
