Dining at Fonda Lola was such a memorable experience! I came here for my 25th birthday with a party of 12 and had a very lovely night. Arturo helped me plan everything via email, answering all of my questions in a timely manner. The service was impeccable from start to finish; my group was regularly checked on by the friendly staff and all requests were accommodated. While a bit small, the ambience in this restaurant is very warm and intimate. The food I ordered was phenomenal! Incredible corn ribs and guac, and the quesabirria with consomé was 10/10. I will definitely be returning here in the future. Thank you for making my birthday so special :)

What a weird experience. First, we were the only table in the restaurant, and still it took 50 minutes to get our dishes. We were just sitting there looking around. The vegetarian dishes I've had - cauliflower tacos, hibiscus salad bowl - were ill-conceived. Overly strong tangy tastes, weird textures, confused proportions of ingredients. Even at a basic level, they were just planned wrong: the salad bowl was served in such a small dish that it necessarily overflowed, the tacos decomposed at first touch. I didn't finish even half of each dish. More generally, the restaurant's vibe was confusing. The prices are a bit high, the plating is beautiful, and some dishes are tiny (e.g., the corn ribs) - so, supposedly, a high end restaurant. But the atmosphere is more like a bar or a casual restaurant - dark, loud music, inattentive service; and the tastes were just off. After paying we continued to eat at another restaurant.

Fonda Lola is a gem! Their spicy margarita is a must-try—just the right amount of kick and so refreshing. The back patio is lovely, a perfect cozy spot to enjoy their fantastic food. Every dish was packed with flavor, and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to. Highly recommend!

So happy to dine here. Food and service fabulous. Try the corn and the soup - oh the soup ! Also , fish tacos possibly best i’ve had (and i’ve had a few …haven’t we all ?) yum . Will be back next time we’re in Toronto .

The salad bowls were super filling! There were limited seats so they were only able to offer us a small table, but they offered us drinks to make up for it- amazing service

5/5 on all fronts. The service first of all was top notch, tacos and margs were fantastic. Highly recommend for a real Mexican vibe. Oscar was our server and he was very fun to be around, his singing sold us on the place before we even ate.

Amazing vibe, one of the spiciest spicy margaritas I've ever had and yummy tacos. Went with a larger party and the initial service was slow, but got better. Will definitely be going back when the weather gets better to enjoy their patio.

Really good, fresh food. Our servers were friendly and patient. Got the shrimp tacos and quesadillas and guacamole. Shared some churro bites. Delicious all around! The decor is lovely. Will definitely come back.
