Floga Estiatorio and Event Space

My first visit to Floga was as part of a celebration of life in honour of a relative. I had heard good things about this place, so I was expecting a positive experience and I wasn't disappointed. As soon as I entered the front door, I saw an older Greek looking gentleman and instantly knew he was the owner. He was just to be to aware of all details and attentive to everything to be anything but the owner. So, I introduced myself to George and asked if I could have a picture with him. Hence, the Octopus, which is proudly displayed in one of the pictures for your benefit. The decor is basic and arm, with a european feel based on wood frame and kissed with a hint of elegance brought about by the use of wall enclaves, individually lit. The spacious layout, well equipped bar, and efficiently designed components add to the sense that the operator is not only experienced, but also focused on providing a pleasant customer experience. If you are health conscious, I suggest you don't order the fried breaded sole. It is delicious, but extremely oily and has more breadcrumbs than fish. The chicken with tsasiki sauce is definitely my preferred dish. Also, the pita bread with eggplant dip.or humus is very tasty. The salad was well dressed and fresh. The garlic bread was delicious, but I prefer more garlic and also tomato chunks, like Italian bruschetta. I would love to work on some dish suggestions with the owner and maybe pick up some tips along the way. The reason I didn't give 5 stars for service is because we had two waitresses. The Greek one was good, but the other one was short with me and made a sarcastic remark she shouldn't have made in front of group I was sitting with. But, she looked like she had a rough life and looked tired. Still, that's no excuse, and that sort of thing does take from the experience. I do plan to go back to try the Octopus and also give the waitress a second chance. After all, shouldn't everyone have a second chance? I may adjust my ratings based on my next visit, stay tuned. The venue is easy to get to and close to highway 401 ramp. I suggest you either drive straight off the ramp onto William Ketchum and follow it up to Progress Avenue, where you can turn right and then turn left before reaching Kennedy road. Otherwise, you'll have to turn left at progress where there is traffic approaching the intersection and also waiting to turn left. You're welcome. This is a great place for a group gathering, family dinner, or even meeting. If you go with a romantic date, be sure to pick a table in a quiet section, preferably by the window. The open space carries sound, such as laughter. Yup, there was some loudness.

We had high hopes the food would be as good as the Danforth, but it wasn’t even close. The chicken souvlaki wasn’t flavourful. The veggies weren’t cooked enough and the seasoned fries left much to be desired. By far the biggest complaint from everyone was too much garlic in the food and they weren’t talking about the tzatziki. The potatoes were cooked well, but there was too much tomato sauce and just not appealing to our group.

No real flavor for giant potato pieces. $120 skip; no utensils provided and not asked. Warm fresh upon delivery. Pork and chicken kebab. Skewers used strong enuff to shank/shiv someone. Flavorful. Beautiful moist chocolate chip cookies chocolate bite goodness 🤤🤤. Salad provided fresh and crisp pieces. PLEEEEENTY sauce action provided. No wilted pieces in the salad could have used more olives. Three stars given cause meat pieces on skewers were kind of dinky. Approximately 7 meals.

NOTE: This review concerns their takeout service, not in-restaurant dining. We have eaten at Floga on a few occasions and would rate the dine-in experience as a 4+. Today we tried the takeout. Although the food was generally very good, the low rating comes from the portion size for the money. An example is the "large rice" that was $10 - came with a container 2/3 full with what appeared to be a single tablespoon of tomato sauce thrown on top. I consider that to be a ripoff and will not be ordering it again. I called to express my disappointment, and while the person was polite and apologized, the explanation I got made it seem as it is regular practice. If you are going to sit down, I would assume that the experience is still worth it, but take your takeout dollars elsewhere.

What a pure luck! We were first time in this area and just came in for a short dinner. Half a litre of wine, octopus, lamb, greek salad and some coffee later I can declare this the best greek restaurant in GTA! Super nice service and authentic but modern vibe. Receipt was a pleasant surprise for the amount of food we got! Great job, we will be back with friends.

Spacious venue with beautiful decor and great ambience. The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned really well. We had an amazing and attentive waitress and servers. 10/10 would definitely recommend

We had an amazing time!!! From the moment we walked in to Floga we were amazed by the atmosphere and vibe ! It resembles that of being in a restaurant on the coast eating in Greece ! Stunning, clean and very attentive staff! Our server Niko was beyond amazing , from all his suggestions on food, life advice and just all around happy vibe made the experience feel like I was around the dinner table with my family ! The portion sizes , and all around taste were fantastic! Thank you for all your hospitality! Can’t wait to come back!

First time here! This restaurant is really a hidden gem in Scarbrough! Our server Niko was amazing and helped us through the menu to pick out dishes we loved so much. My partner really liked the lamb he said it was really good and cooked well! And the vegetarian options were really good! He gave us great mocktails choices as well! Will come back again! Thanks
