At the time of writing this review, I suspect the 3.9 star rating on Google represents the lack of value of the food that’s offered here. Especially given the location on University Avenue, where many workers are seeking convenient and affordable lunch spots. The restaurant claims: free-run, hormone- and antibiotic-free, and halal chicken. But unfortunately the chicken itself, falls short. It was slightly bland and dry. This may be their intention and may not be a bother to everyone, or maybe I just received an underwhelming order. I’d also like to point out that if you order a combo with two sides, roasted cauliflower isn’t an option, which is disappointing. The kale Caesar slaw was lackluster, and while the flock stock (an additional charge) was decent, the rice was hard and dry. It was approximately 30 dollars per person for a combo + drink.

They got rid of their best items like the turkey chilli and the menu is getting increasingly confusing, like the rotisserie meal includes two sides but then you cant actually pick any side, but only certain ones and it doesnt say anywhere which ones I really used to like this place but it definitely got worse over the last year

Let me tell you the pulled chicken sandwich was the most disgusting chicken sandwich I've ever had. It tastes like you took yesterday's leftovers pulled them with no sauce, not sweet, not tangy, not spicy, not salty. So bland And the topped it with horseradish. I felt sick eating it. Not sure what else to say. No flavour apart from horseradish. I asked for some sort of sauce to add some flavour but they didn't have much apart from hot sauce and ceasar. I took the ceaser to try and cover it up.

Seems like a good option for lunch. Went there at around 12pm and there was a small line, but the feed came pretty quickly. Also there weren’t many people eating in, mainly taking out. I got a chicken sandwich which was a great healthy option but it was a bit dry likely because they used chicken breast.

Ordered this spicy soup and chicken thigh take out from them at around 730pm. The portion of the soup was large and filled my tummy well. I love the spiciness of it but maybe it's a bit too hot for others. The chicken thigh was big. It's juicy and tasty even after I finished the soup with strong flavour, except some parts of the skin are a bit salty.

Tried this place instead of the surefire disappointment across the street named Swiss Chalet, not disappointed. Chicken leg was nicely seasoned and juicy, came off the bone rather effortlessly. Be aware that sweet potatoes are not peeled before ordering, broccoli roasted just right retaining a little crunchiness on the bite. Pricing is a little higher than expected for chicken but it's about just 2-3 dollars over swiss chalet chicken dinner for a much better taste and experience. This place should be busier than it is.

Let me tell you how much I love everything about Flock. First off the chickens come from a wonderful farmer who is organic, 2nd party certified, halal and most importantly cooked to juicy perfection. Next up is there is something for everyone. From Vegan to Gluten Free to Bird lovers. Their salads are massive and packed full of goodies. I am quite enamoured by their falafel balls with beet hummus. Sandwiches, you name it and super friendly staff, not to mention incredibly clean. Pretty good for rotisserie chicken, the chicken is fresh and tender most of the time. The sides are great as well, I especially like the coleslaw. Overall I'd say it's a bit pricey for what you're getting, but if you're craving chicken and don't want Popeyes then this is a good alternative.
