Flame Food+Design/Turkish Restaurant is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.
The Best Turkish Restaurant & Steakhouse (2021/2022/2023 / @topchoiceawards) At Flame, we serve Neo Anatolian | Fusion Turkish Cuisine tastes with some of our own designs. Think of lamb neck with prunes on Flame+ design marble plates, grilled sweetbreads drizzled on gravel-stone with clementine and microgreens, 48 hour lamb shank slow cooked with almonds and currants with lamb juice&brandy cocktail. We try to create a table of peace in time travel. The restaurant and grill is on the main floor, and we serve Turkish coffee (free wifi) all day on the 2nd floor where we also organize private events and parties. We also have a beautiful rooftop patio. We chose the Bloor West Village because it reminds us of home, and we love our neighborhood.

Flame is a lovely restaurant with quality food options. The owners are on hand, delightful and kind. As a vegetarian the menu was outstanding. I had a beet salad and vegetable dish with Roasted Tomato & Pepper (Muhammara) both were packed with flavour. The salad was sweet and savoury and the Muhammara was filled with heartiness from the walnuts - yummy! There was a variety of healthy options for my meat eating husband and he loved his food. Great spot for both of us to enjoy ! Will be back.

Amazing restaurant on Bloor with such a charming atmosphere! Wonderful Turkish music playing while dining in a cozy place! Food was delicious and tender and the flavours were superb! Thank you Baser for such wonderful service with a smile! We ordered the platter for two that was totally filling! And the eggplant was amazing!

Halal/ Kosher Options: Unsure Vegan Option: Unsure Vegetarian Options: Yes Nut Free Options: Yes Dairy Alternatives : Unsure First Impression: Unique spot in Etobicoke. They serve a fusion of Turkish and Greek food. Order: lentil soup, pomegranate chicken salad, kebab Favourite: Lentil soup. I really liked that they added pomegranate , very tasty. We also really enjoyed the black bread with their home made sauce. Critiques: The chicken in the salad was frozen chicken fingers, this was not indicated on the menu. This left us disappointed. A hidden Turkish restaurant that offers good food, but at a high price. We ordered three different meals, one soup, a Mezes, and kebab. The soup and Mezes were amazing and very filling, tbh you could just have the appetizers and be full. The kebab was the priciest option and wasn't as tasty as the first two dishes, they weren't bad but not worth the price. The service was good, atmosphere good, and food was good as well. Just be aware the main dishes are the priciest.

From reviews and pictures it seems like a decent place, but unfortunately the day we visited they were understaffed and it took so long for them to take our orders and prepare the food, and they didn't have a few items that were on the menu. The kebab was alright but the sides (grilled potatoes, carrots, etc.) were pretty cold like a salad. I wasn't expecting grilled vegetables to be that cold. They served us a few rounds of pita plate and a complementary bread and olive which was a nice gesture.

This is one of my first experiences of Turkish food, and, boy, did it open a world for me! Since coming here I have been on the lookout for more tasty Turkish food, and this has been one of my favourites. The dips were so tasty, especially the red pepper one. Loved the charcoal bread that it came with. The char and flavour on the meat was a party in my mouth, and the other elements on the meat dish made the meat shine. Lovely presentation for this one! I would gladly come back here!

It's been a while since I had such an amazing experience. The food left me craving more and the drinks and service ensure I will be coming back. Beautiful place and honestly, the food is just unbelievable!! Do yourself a favor and stop by .... The only thing I didn't loved was the humus- it was just different and not to MY tasting or creamier enough, but it's not bad.
