Called for reservations (only option) and the staff said the date/time was not available and hung up. Classy. Perhaps they were busy before and after a series of holidays and maybe it is difficult to answer phones within the four hours an establishment is open in a day (other top restaurants have more efficient systems). The owner wrote to accuse me of lying (?) but, unfortunately, IT DID HAPPEN. They need a better system and more courteous staff before repelling clients even before they dine there. The message I received from the staff was "Don't bother us!"

I can’t express how incredible this place is but I’m going to try. The owners, Shawn and Frank put their hearts and souls into the dining experience every night. Everything is delicious and well thought, service is top notch but not stuffy, food is creative and well executed, vibes are immaculate. We went for a birthday dinner and got a lot of things on the menu to share, I can’t really choose a favourite. Cocktails were subtle but exciting. Please go check it out!

This restaurant is an absolute gem! We’ve been here over four times, and each visit impresses us. The seasonal menu keeps things exciting, and the ingredients are always fresh. I’m not usually a fan of greens, but FK’s salads and vegetables always surprise me with their freshness and flavor. Their BBQ chicken, with its perfectly crispy skin, was a standout, though it was seasonal and is no longer available. We recently had the duck breast, and it was tender and flavorful without any gamey taste. This has quickly become our go-to spot for date night!

I told a friend I’d be hosting a birthday dinner party at my house, and laughed when she asked what I was going to make. Cooking stresses me out & makes a giant mess; my gift to myself was having FK cater it. I had excellent communications ahead of the big night via email with the staff, who were accommodating in having the food ready a little earlier than they normally open. Pickup at the restaurant was smooth and everything was ready on time. The food was packaged beautifully and my guests were very impressed with their dishes. My one constructive piece of feedback is that the ravioli and pork portions could have been a bit bigger. All in all it was a lovely evening with friends and I am so grateful to the restaurant for enabling me to relax and enjoy myself.

Frank, the head chef, Shawn and team did a fantastic job last night when my wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary dinner. This is our first visit and we decided to pre-book the tasting menu. It was amazing! Every single dish has been thoughtful using the seasonal local ingredients. The decoration of the food presentation and plating were pleasant. We enjoy all the dishes! Not to mention their in-house bread: Arva Parker Roll with Nasturtium butter. A perfect combination. And their wine list has some of the best choices. We ordered the local Beamsville Bachelder Pinot Noir. It went well with the dishes. We will come back for sure!

This Michelin-rated restaurant offers intricately prepared dishes with remarkable attention invested into every detail from seasoning to plating. The exterior of this location is rather unassuming, but the interior demonstrates plenty of care and design. The restaurant is quite small but the tables are well placed and diners are not packed cheek to jowl. The freshly baked bread that evening was packed full of subtle flavours. The cocktails were well mixed and tasted as wonderful as they looked. The stuffed zucchini flowers appetizer was well made and delicious. On the other hand, the lobster and prawn ceviche was a little underwhelming considering the quality of the rest of the dishes. Instead of calling it ceviche, they should have simply named the dish seafood appetizer because it was far removed from both the taste and texture of traditional ceviche. We had grilled lamb chops as well as veal as our mains. Both were cooked to perfection. As sides we ordered morel mushrooms and onion rings, and they were phenomenal. I wish the mushrooms were prepared without the heavy sauce to allow the true flavour of the fungi to shine on its own. Desserts of lemon and peach sorbets were outstanding! However, the macchiato was below expectations - it was sour and didn't taste fresh. Overall, it was definitely a 5-star experience!

Absolutely delighted with our experience here! The Foie Gras boasted intricate flavors that danced on the palate, while the Ravioli and steak were not only fragrant but also burst with deliciousness with great sauces. And the desserts rounded off our meal perfectly. We would love to come here again and try more things differently

This past Thursday, my bf surprised me for my birthday with a tasting menu at your fabulous restaurant! Every single dish was delicious, inventive and so esthetically pleasing! Service was impeccable! Thank you for the best dinner I’ve had in years! Looking forward to coming back with friends and family.
