Fisherman Lobster King

A few days ago, I specifically called to book a table and pre-order lamb stew. During the conversation, I repeated several times that I was pre-ordering the lamb stew, and the restaurant staff confirmed the booking and the lamb stew had been reserved for us. Today, upon arriving at the restaurant and being seated, I reiterated that I had pre-ordered the lamb stew when making the table reservation. The female restaurant manager with glasses immediately suggested placing the order for the lamb stew for us and even recommended the existing lamb stew set menu. Later, the manager asked again if the order for the other dishes could be placed, we decided not to order for the set menu but to order a crispy fried chicken and snow pea leaves . After placing order, the manager came again and suddenly claimed that there was no lamb stew available today, stating that the restaurant owner had burned all of it. While she was informing us the lamb stew was not available, the chicken was already served on the table and had made us no choice to leave the restaurant. We were all disappointed as we purposely come for the lamb stew, and at the same time to our surprise, we noticed that two other tables were being served with two large pots of lamb stew. We immediately asked the manager on the situation that we observed, the manager even couldn’t provide a reasonable explanation and continued to insist that all the lamb had been burnt by the owner, and further shirking responsibility by saying it wasn’t her who took the table reservation call. This was truly unconvincing. This restaurant is now permanently blacklisted, and I will not recommend it to anyone else. The restaurant also forcibly charged a 13% service fee on the bill. If the service attitude and food quality were good, we wouldn’t mind paying 13% or even more as a tip. However, given the extremely poor service and handling by the restaurant and the manager this time, it is truly unacceptable. We ended up paying the tips but not at 13%, the staff and the manager were even yelling at us that we still owed them money. The worst dining experience ever, with such service and attitude. Not even a star should be given to this restaurant.

Great place for families or groups looking for the full chinese dinner menu. We were very satisfied on the quality, cook and size of each dish, as well as the price point. Definitely recommend.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Fishermen Lobster King with my friends. The overall experience was enjoyable, especially the food, which we all loved. The ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant were up to par, creating a pleasant environment for our celebration. The service, however, was average. There was a service charge of $50, which seemed a bit high considering the level of service we received. Despite this, we had a great time and appreciated the delicious meals. Would recommend it for its tasty dishes and nice setting, but there’s room for improvement in the service area.

Check your bills. They were offering 20% off cash payments, they took only 11% off. (Bill was $124subtotal, discount was $14) They also automatically apply gratuity/service charge. This is an automatic tip. They do not announce this on the menu or in restaurant when you order. Do not leave a tip on top of it. The food was good, portions were plentiful, and the service was fast. We went on an unexpectedly busy morning (Friday) but they got through customers fairly quickly. Groups of 5 or more were offered rooms.

I think honestly the neg reviews are about the price of the combo offered. At first I didn’t get it either but you pay for the experience and in my opinion, it’s worth it. The black chicken soup is nice (and most helpful for the male 🤭) The restaurant is grand and has a luxurious feel to it. I recommend it to all my friends & family

We came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch at 12. I highly recommend coming for lunch since you get the same menu but it's cheaper. The food was very fresh and there was lots of variety. I preferred the stir fried lobster over the fried lobster, though I understand why people enjoy the fried as it also comes with french fries. I also like that the set meal that we chose came with rice, noodles and veggies making it a well rounded meal. We were 10 people and there was more than enough food without having to order extra, and we got to take food home! The restaurant is also very large and there are lots of tanks filled with sea creatures that my boys loved to look at. Note that you are also given a time limit for your seating. Over all would recommend a visit, even if it's just to try once in your life!

Waitress is very pushy on upselling you on food you don't want to eat. Went for dum sum and was shown the lobster promotion for $108. Declined it but was asked again 3 more times. Automatic gratuity of 12% on the post tax total, before discounts are taken in. Essentially I was billed the equivalent of 14% service charge. Food wise, it's not very fresh. The wrapper of har gow is slimey and the shrimp was under seasoned. The rice rolls were the same, Majority of the food was too greasy and left me feeling very heavy afterwards. The roast pork was enjoyable with a very light crispy skin. Unfortunately was given a piece with too much fat. The duck was seasoned nice but was on the fatty side again. Very nice decor and layout. However, I would not recommend even with 20% discount during certain times.

I had a wonderful late dinner here. My group arrived at 9:45 p.m.; they were operating their winter hours which closed at 11 p.m. My group had the special discount on barbecue duck in two courses for $28.80 after ordering $50 of regular menu items. The duck was delicious!
