I hope you like extra strong PROPANE FLAVOURED JERK CHICKEN then this is the place for you. I don’t know what happened to Firehouse BBQ, as it’s gone downhill since it opened. I guess the owner is using propane to speed up the process now. The first time I went here it was great it was super moist flavourful and the second time not as good. Yesterday it was beyond bad. I was so hungry I eat it and was burping up propane flavour additive in my mouth for hours.

Open from mon-thu 12pm try to come early mostly evening line up took almost 45 mnt around 4-6pm. Plaintain is delicious and jerk chicken too (can taste the smokey burn).Everything was good ,food, and service until I found he charged me $25 for the Jerk chicken combo box 1 each (jerk chicken, rice with bean on top, plantain, coleslaw)but it mentioned there $22 , this is unbelievable he decided to get him tips and tax? Without asking me??? But that's too much will not go there again if he charged me that price ,( thats why no receipt) ripped off, and I was cycling went there, and also this is my 2nd time I went here, the 1st in I didn't check my credit card ,this time I used other one directly got msg from the bank when I use it. Hmm... that's why he told me I gave u more chicken that I wasn't asked for, and I don't want to(thats why he can charge me $25??? That's insane) In the beginning, I was about to support local authentic food, but it turned ripped off in this economic condition . I'm afraid to trust again now that it's really not worth it seriously. I'm disappointed .

Jerk chicken is really good! One of the best i have tried. The turon (banana and jackfruit) dessert is a must try too! Will definitely go again if i visit the area.

Great food and hospitality! I had combo 2 with the peanut punch, and my partner got the 4 pieces of jerk chicken. So flavourful, cooked well, and great prices! Will definitely make the commute for it again.

5 stars for the stuffed coco bread, come with patience as it can be a bit of a wait but the owner makes for good conversation. Also bring cash as there is a surcharge to pay with credit.

Real authentic Jamaican pan jerk chicken set up with a lot of extras available like rice and peas, coleslaw, salt fish fritters, fried dumplings, fried plantain etc. Chris has a clean outdoor setup with great customer service and interaction. I was won over from the first taste. It's set up really for takeout. Truly a hidden gem indeed.

Sometimes in life you just stumble across an absolute gem unexpectedly in the middle of nowhere on a random day at a random time. Firehouse Grill is that gem. The jerk chicken (which is Halal by the way) is slow-cooked in a charcoal drum exactly the way it is prepared back home. The spices are perfect. The chicken is flavourful and not overly spicy, exactly the way it is intended to be. That’s correct, folks: jerk chicken is meant to be full of FLAVOUR not PEPPER. It is not supposed to be burning your tongue detracting from a tasteful experience the way North Americans have put their awful spin on it. The “Rasta Pasta” is a thing of beauty. Give it a try if you get the chance. The fried dumplin tastes exactly like Granny’s own — RIP. The salt fish flittas are an absolute treat and as authentic as it gets. The coleslaw is undoubtedly the weakest link but everything else shines so brilliantly, it doesn’t even taint the experience in the least. And finally, the star of the show, Rasta Chris, has clearly perfected his craft and offers up his delightful personality on display alongside the excellent food and excellent service. A++ overall.
