Fancy Franks

Been here a few times over the years. It's okay. Dogs are definitely yummy and the curly fries reminded me of the McCain ones from the 90s. Limited seating and on hard metal stools with no back. Music is incredibly loud and counter person actually had to lower it to hear us. Also, while I appreciate the list of toppings, I would actually like to see them with my eyes. See how fresh it is before I make a choice. Two dogs two pops and 1 fries should not be 25 dollars and then tell me I'm only allowed the toppings it came with. If I want ketchup it's a dollar. What?! Would I come back? After this? Nah.

Passed by this place many times and finally stopped by to try. Was very impressed considering it is a fast food place. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Got the Smash burger and onion rings with a chocolate milkshake. Burger was so juicy! Onion rings were the best I ever had. Milkshake was a perfect compliment to my meal. Definitely will be coming back!!

FANCY FRANKS got its inspiration from Coney Island dogs they started in 2012. We were eager to try this place.. The menu seemed fun and promising. There was a little bit of a wait., Serving people randomly.😫🤷🏻‍♀️ To be honest it wasn't the best meal . Smash burgers were overcooked, bun was stale. **** But The curly fries were amazing, *****the onion rings almost great but zEro flavor 🤷🏻‍♀️, and vanilla shake was watery. Unfortunately the fancy frank did not make the cut.

Lots of creative hot dog options to choose from, including beyond meat versions. They also offer hamburgers, poutine, fries (curly fries too) 🍟, onion rings, ice cream, and milk shakes. They have special offers daily. A small area to dine in if you like (not suitable for family dining). They deliver via UberEats. The location is convenient (on the corner of Lawrence Avenue W and Avenue Road), so easily assessible by TTC is needed. Ample parking that is shared with Freedom Mobile Services and Starbucks. Amazing customer service every time! 👏

Will’s service was exactly what was needed today. He was polite, courteous, and got the order perfect on the first try. My wife and I just happened to be in the area and decided to give Fancy Franks a try. I had the Big Fancy and she had the Cheeseburger. We both enjoyed our food very much. The burger was cooked to just the right texture and taste. I will definitely remember this burger. The fries being good is a bonus.

Next to a car wash and do I went and tried it while waiting for car to wash! Nice big hotdogs! The sausage is quite good but taste is on the mild side! Grilled onions are too much diced up! Prefer to have more and not diced up! Overall a good hotdog outlet!

Sep2022: So, I've visited over the course of a week and tried each of their daily hot dogs and liked most of them. Also tried the following sides: french fries, onion rings, curly fries and cajun fries, which were all good to excellent. Liked the cajun fries best. The best deal is their $7 for 2 hot dogs, available between 3-6pm weekdays, looks like it may be time limited. This is how I would rate their daily hot dogs (fave to least fave): Franky Goes to Buffalo (Mon) - like the blue cheese Coney Island (Fri) - good chilli FFGHD TX (Sun) - flavors blend well Farmer's Sausage (Wed) - good quality sausage Chi-Town Fancy (Sat) - could eat this regularly Plain Fancy Frank hot dog - good quality hotdog, see 2 for $7 deal Franko Y Huevos (Tue) - ok, but messy to eat,and spicier than expected Corn Dog (Thur) - it looked dark and maybe burnt, but was ok actually This is a good quality hot dogs (and more) fast food place with quality buns, weiners, sausages and toppings. Will try their burgers next.

Good food, friendly service, lots to choose from on the menu, and the prices are reasonable. We enjoyed the burger just as much if not more than the hot dog, fries could have been a bit crispier for the poutine, but the onion rings were perfectly golden crispy. Despite some people liking the huge hot dog buns, I thought it was a bit too bread-y and overpowers the hot dog. May check it out again because it's very new to the hood.
