Ordered food after over 4 years of not coming to Faleys and take out was about $100.00, I asked for some house pepper sauce and was told there is a charge for fifty cents. I thought it was absolutely disgusting that after spending so much $ they want more for a little serving of pepper sauce ( which I have never experience at another hakka or west indian restaurant) Not to mention if you were dining in and bought 1 fried rice there's a whole glass jar container of that sauce for customers to use how much they need let alone spending money on take out we are asked to pay extra. The attitude the staff had was disgusting towards this concern. Food was also not the way It used to be for sure, I'm pretty sure management has changed in this place and to be honest I would not recommend anyone to go there and give buisness to disrespectful people.

I have to change my 5 star review to 2 stars. I've been coming to Faleys for over 10 years, I'm not sure if the ownership has changed but the chili chicken is just not the same. The chicken was fatty and chewy, the sauce was a weird colour and no flavor. It's one of my favorite dishes there but it seems they've ruined the original recipe. I won't be back

Haven't been to Faley since back in 2009. When I went back, most of my favorite places are gone, so figured I'd make a pilgrimage to my once favorite Faley out in Etobicoke. My first shocker was when I saw the staff and had a bit of a shock and it harkened me back to my experience at Frederick's in Markham after it sold. The staff was Desi instead of Asian. As with Frederick's, I figured the place had been sold and the food was destroyed and was ready to walk out. On asking the staff, it turned out, the owner was still the same, and so I sat down. (I don't have anything against Desi's, but the ones who bought Frederick's...suffice it to say, I stopped going there. And still wake up in the middle of the night having nightmares about putting a spoonful of Manchurian Chicken Fried Rice in my mouth and ending up with whatever it has become. Cold sweats man, I'm still recovering) Aneeeway! The food at Faley is amazing and on point. Exactly what Hakka should be. It took me back to the happy days when all I had to worry about was a smack from my mother or a really bad yelling from my dad. The pictures are attached to this review, and to be honest, they tasted soooooooo much better than what the picture shows. My only complaint is that the place looks a little antiseptic, but I was there for the food, so between the aaaahs and the uuuuuuuums, and the yessssss', I forgot all about it until now as I write this. Highly recommend! PS: After the dine in, I also ordered a bunch to take out with me. This has become my must stop for all my future trips to Toronto. I'd recommend you make it yours as well.

How is it you raise the price for the chilli chicken fried rice and reduce the amount rice and meat? They literally gave me half of the meat they usually serve with the chilli chicken. You guys gave shrinkflation another name. Definitely my last time eating here.

A Taste of East Asian Cuisine at Faley If you’re a fan of East Asian cuisine and enjoy spicy and flavorful dishes, Faley is a great choice. The menu offers a variety of delicious, spicy dishes that truly capture the essence of Asian flavors. Plus, the prices are very reasonable, making it a good value for the quality of food you receive. However, the restaurant’s ambiance isn’t particularly impressive or well-designed, which might be a downside for some. Additionally, during the hot summer days, the restaurant’s ventilation and cooling systems don’t perform very well, which could affect your overall experience. Overall, if you’re looking for tasty and affordable food and can overlook the simple environment, Faley is worth a visit.

10/10 fresh food for the price you pay for is amazing, hard to beat. Recommend daily special like chilli chicken or Faley special chicken on steamed rice. 9.25 plus tax can’t beat it.

The food quality is no longer the same. I’ve been ordering the same thing for over 10 years and unfortunately the fried rice isn’t as flavourful anymore just rice tossed in the pan with the chilli chicken on top. I might as well pay less and get white rice

Went to Faley last week Thursday for lunch and the place was busy. We ordered the Chili Chicken, Crispy Beef and Chicken Cashew. Service was good and the food was quick! All dishes were delicious, portion size is generous and for amazing prices! The owner is funny and friendly on our first encounter. The atmosphere was okay - a place where you just sit, eat and go - not really for hanging out and relaxing. Definitely will be back for the food!
