For $11 this place was well worth it. Quality of the three meats were great. It does come with soup which I wasn’t really a fan of but overall the meats were cooked well and flavourful. The duck didn’t really have a crispy skin to it. In some parts it was crispy but overall not so much. I wasn’t really a fan of the duck as it contains a lot of fat and cartilage. Roasted Pork and BBQ Pork were amazing, I truly liked the BBQ Pork. BBQ was flavourful and even though the skin was not crispy on the roasted pork the meat was fresh.

I picked up lunch from Extra BBQ House this past Friday and ordered the BBQ pork and roast pork on rice combo. The meal included cabbage, ginger scallion sauce, and a side of soup. The BBQ pork was fatty and juicy, while the roast pork was tender and satisfying. The ginger scallion sauce added a salty, flavorful punch, which complemented some of the leaner cuts of meat perfectly. The soup on the side was a nice touch, helping to cleanse the palate between bites. The takeout process was a bit lengthy as there’s always a line whenever I visit this spot. However, once I reached the counter, it only took a few minutes to place my order, pay, and receive my meal. What stands out the most about Extra BBQ House is the incredible value for the price. With the rising cost of food, paying around $10 for such a filling and delicious meal feels like a win. I would definitely recommend Extra BBQ House to anyone looking for an affordable yet flavorful meal and doesn’t mind a bit of a wait during busy times. It’s a spot worth visiting if you’re craving quality Chinese BBQ without breaking the bank!

So I finally made it here to try it. I’ve been to their competitor but today we decided to buy from both to do a comparison and I have to say this place won. I was surprised as most reviews I’ve read favoured HKS. Now I only got the bbq pork so I can’t say for the others. I did find the soup given here was much better. Not just broth. Win here Now the amount of meat is more from HKS and it is still very good bbq pork. So HKS wins. The bbq pork on rice is the same price $9 My photo was after I ate a couple of pieces so it may not look as full as it should be btw 😬 But If you buy per lb. It’s $12 here and $11 at HKS.. The meat was more tender here Extra wins. It’s a toss up really. I don’t think you can go wrong with either. Test it yourself. Honestly they are both amazing I am curious about other places so stay tuned

The two Chinese BBQ joints in this mall are something else. I have been to HKS BBQ going back to the 90’s. Then I see reports about these crazy lineups at these two bbq joints. Today I decided to try the roast pork rice 🍚 here at Extra BBQ House. I don’t recall ever trying it before. The first thing that I noticed is that the portion is slightly less compared to HKS BBQ. But the meat itself was expertly seasoned and cooked. The crackling skin was spot on in texture and taste. The complimentary soup was very enjoyable and packed with flavour. Happy eats everyone 😎

I went there to grab something to eat, and I saw the long line to this place . My wife and I are curious, and we would like to try the food here. I ordered four items in rice. It has pork BBQ, roasted duck, roasted pork, and salted egg. Not bad for 13 dollars.

After watching a lot of YouTube videos about this place and its sister bbq place next door I decided to try this out. Both places sported a long long line up. This is in First Markham place mall. I was really craving the chicken as it looked so good. All the videos, however, raved about the roasted pork. Anyways I ordered the free range chicken (half of a chicken) with extra green onion and ginger sauce. The sauce had too much onions and barely any ginger. The free range chicken is not for me as the meat was a little chewy. Maybe those birds need to sit still to be tender (the way I like it). I wouldn’t recommend this place as there are much better places in Toronto. The YouTubers overhyped this too much, doesn’t match the lineups at all.

there are two bbq stores almost next to each other and both of them have long line up. The other one actually has longer line-ups. So decided to try Extra BBQ this time. Order two meat items combo. The portion is generous so if you are in mainly to fill up then this is worth it. But if you're looking for taste I think they are okay, not too bad but not great either. But have I known I had to spent 30 mins for this then I most likely will settle for something else.

First time decided to line up and give it a try, waited more than 35 mins on a Saturday afternoon. Surprisingly both the counter staff were quite friendly and we ordered BBQ & roasted pork combo. Service was quick because we got prepacked food! Unfortunately, just one word to describe everything - dry! Rice was cold, dry and crusty. The BBQ pork (char siu) was a big disappointment, too lean and very hard, dry and slightly rancid, not palatable at all. Roasted pork's skin was crunchy but the meat was tasteless and again dry. There's no sauce or gravy, except they gave one small bowl of some sort of murky soup? My verdict, you could probably join the line for the fun of it and see what's the hype but definitely not worth a second visit. Maybe we'll try the rival stall next door. PS: thinking about it, no wonder there's a huge scale propped up high in front of the counter- likely to block customer's view i.e. giving customers prepacked food!
