A friend and I found Esther Queen of Soups yesterday after I developed a mild sore throat from weather change. I was shocked to learn that they've been serving delicious soups, wraps, kothu, rolls, and rice & curries for the past 25 years! The lovely Tamil ladies at the front recommended the Mulligatwany soup for my throat and I got a tandoori chicken wrap to go with it. My friend got the butter chicken wrap, Mulligatwany soup, and a mutton roll. Everything was so yummy! Halfway through our meal, they also brought us rasam (a spicy Tamil soup-like dish) for my throat. It was so kind and helped my throat calm down so much! I can't wait to visit them again!

Wholesome and hearty dishes bring you to memories from your mom's cooking. Esther offers something amazing for everyone. Affordable, flavorful, and healthy options. Esther and her staff are super friendly and makes you want to visit again.

I worked in the Yorkville area a few years ago, that’s when I found this little gem of awesomeness. I was hooked instantly to their homemade curries made daily by just the sweetest group of ladies. Esther Queen of Soups is what you want if you want delicious food fast. *Also…THEIR SAMOSAS ARE THE BEST IN THE CITY!!

Well, I ordered a simple chicken noodle soup. It had zero flavour, no vegetables, and macaroni noodles and no bread. Cost over $8. I added salt and that didn’t even help. Took 2 more bites and had to leave it behind. I was quite disappointed by the queen of soups.

I ve ordered a butter chicken wrap and received this chicken tandoori! I also asked the guy working there that if its a butter chicken or chicken tandoori and he insisted that its a butter chicken !! Its beneath the reputation of a place in such area,

It's Sri Lankan food similar to Indian food. It's run by these nice Sri Lankan ladies and the food taste like homemade. The soups are delicious and hearty. The chicken, lamp, fish curries are tasty and come with vegetables (you can ask for more veggies.) They also have Samosas freshly made. If you are around Yonge/Bay and Bloor, this place is fantastic to grab a nice warm soup or any of the meat curries 😋😋

Best soups in the city. You can taste how fresh it is. My go to for an amazing chicken noodle soup or a mulligatawny. They remembered me after not going there for so long. Must try and must support!!

I love eating at Esther's - she's really the Queen of Soups, and also Queen of Curries! This is one of the only reasons to visit Cumberland Terrace. The soups are really tasty and there's a lot of variety - you'll never get bored. The curries are fantastic: curry, rice, and vegetable sides - all amazing.
