Elan Pizza

Unfortunately I find myself having to adjust my previous review of Elan's Pizza from a 5 star review to a 3 star review. Disclaimer up front: This review was adjusted to keep the restaurant accountable for how it treats it's customers. The pizza and other menu items at Elan is 5 star. The atmosphere is great, and deserves 4 stars. The service from the delivery drivers is absolutely 5 stars, they're great & friendly. The service from all in restaurant staff (with 1 obvious exception) is 5 stars. The service I received yesterday from 1 person was dreadful and absolutely 1 star, so I am updating my review. On Sunday December 15th I placed an order with Elan Pizza, the pizza would be ready around 4:00pm, and the pizza at Elan's is SO good we drive the 25 minutes from Midland to get it. We got there around 3:55pm, and I was served by the staff member at the counter, whom I paid for my order. Her shift then ended at 4:00pm, and a different woman arrived to work the counter. The staff member leaving let the new person know my name is Jason, what I ordered, that I had paid for it and it should be ready soon. The new staff member at the counter immediately gets into a friendly conversation with another customer, and begins chatting. A lot of time goes by, other customers come in, pick up their orders and leave, and eventually even the other customer with whom the staff member had been chatting with is given her order and leaves. It's now almost 4:15pm, I've been ignored the entire time by the staff member at the counter, and I begin to give subtle looks towards the food prep staff working in the back, as I'm pretty certain there is no way my food could STILL be in the oven after waiting so long. Sure enough, one of the cooks in the back ends up approaching the woman at the counter and asks her what order I am waiting for. Sure enough, they tell her that my pizza had been out of the oven for a while now - I was standing close enough to the front counter to hear this clearly - and now my suspicions are confirmed and I know that I've been standing around waiting for a good 5 to 10 minutes for my order while being totally ignored, as my order was sitting in a box and cooling down. She brings my order to the counter while mumbling some something about how "she didn't know" that my order was ready and waiting. She clearly WOULD have known if she had taken a moment at any time to check in and look at what pizzas had already came out of the oven during the 15 minutes she had been there so far. What's really frustrating is she served 3 or 4 other customers who came in and picked up their orders, which means she simply didn't pay attention to the staff member who told her what I was waiting for when her shift began at 4pm, and she ignored my pizza sitting there while she gave other (later) customers their food, leaving me standing there waiting. The other insulting part of her service was when she tried to charge me for my order a SECOND time, because she hadn't remembered being told that I already paid the staff member who clocked out at 4pm. I have to believe that the woman at the counter was one of the owners, as I can't imagine a staff member ignoring a customer for this long while chatting to other people and getting away with it. It really sucks leaving one of your favorite restaurants that you are constantly recommending to friends and speaking highly of online, knowing that you stood around waiting for your order while your food was just sitting there getting cooler and the person at the counter doesn't care about your time or your experience. At the end of the day I'll still keep ordering from Elan Pizza for now as the pizza is fantastic, and the delivery staff - along with everyone else there except for this one person - are really great. But a word of advice - no customer should allow any business to treat them this disrespectfully, and should something like this happen to me again, they'll lose my business (and my constant recommendations of them to everyone I know) for good.

I had a chance to try this amazing pizza restaurant and it did not disappoint. Every inch of this pizza was perfect from the dough, sauce, and fresh toppings. Do yourself a favor and give it a try, you can thank me later. Thank you for caring about the customer and not out to make a quick buck. I highly recommend Elan pizza, I will definitely be back for more!

Food was good though since I don’t live in the area, I wouldn’t make the special trip again; only if I was passing by through town. I did like the affordability of the pizza! As for service, it was just a little bit awkward to wait to pay. The cashier just left until another worker came to cash me out using the debit machine after a few minutes. Glad the worker walked by me to cash me out as even she seemed to be surprise that no one cashed me out before she came out.

Our pizza today was absolutely delicious. Fresh ingredients are cut larger than most places. We had the Super Deluxe in medium. Crust was crispy and light. The sauce is a perfect balance of sweet and tart. I highly recommend you try Elan Pizza.

Elan's catered a recent event, and the food was great. We had, pizza, lasagna, boneless wings, and salads. The pizza was a tasty, had nice crust, and lots of toppings. The lasagna was flavourful, generous sauce, and meat throughout. The boneless wings were crispy, and fresh, with a good selection of sauces. I would definitely order from Elam's again.

Absolutely delicious pizza packed full of flavour and toppings! It’s our new go to. We had a larger order for my son’s birthday and it was perfect. The party pizzas are huge! The wings are thick and breaded and saucy, just divine! Excellent quality and customer service.

This pizza is the best around. The flavours are awesome. Lots of Fresh toppings. We definitely will try another kind. It was hot and delicious. The one thing they are so busy hard to call and order. Went and placed order took an hour well worth the wait they are so busy. Good value too not over priced. Barbecue chicken delicious.
