El Rincón Mexican Food

Cute mom and pop Mexican restaurant but the food was a little disappointing with such high review on google. This is my first time visiting at this restaurant and the service was okay, it was order over the counter. The taco wrap is definitely hard to chew. It is taco Tuesday with $3.00 special. I ordered 3 types of tacos - grill chicken, chorizo, el pastor, and the quesabirria. The taco proteins are dry and unflavoured, but it is drenched with dressing and hot sauce. The quesabirria meat is seasoned however the wrap was pulling teeth. There are tables available to eat at but it seems more of a takeout shop. We spent approximately $40.00 for two people.

Best birrias I've had in Toronto. The consomme/dip they use is so flavourful and try the shrimp tacos- they're amazing as well. Got the beef bowl and it too did not disappoint. Worth a visit (or two or three :-))

Had the pozole to go and it was delicious. A generous portion and freshly done tortillas. The radish could be chopped instead of big slices but will request on my next pozole. The restaurant can use some « musica » but it was clean. Can’t wait to try the tacos on Tuesday.

This unassuming establishment was a bit difficult to find, but other than that…I have to say the food was truthfully some the most flavourful, authentic tasting Mexican food I’ve had in the city. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the portion sizes. They have great daily specials too! Incredibly pleased with the Brisket Burrito and the beef nachos. I would recommend this place to anybody in the mood for some home-cooked, authentic Mexican food! Will most definitely be back soon.

My friend and I went for lunch, we randomly found it on google and thought we’d give it a try. We both ordered the quesabirria (< highly recommend this) and The shrimp taco. You could taste that the food was freshly made and the flavour was amazing. I’ve tried multiple Mexican restaurants around the city and this is a hidden gem! The space was very clean and the owner was so nice. It is a small space, if you’re with a larger group I would recommend ordering out, but it’s perfect for 2ppl. I will definitely be coming back!

Decided to give this restaurant a try on a whim. I tried the brisket tacos based on a review. I have to agree, it’s excellent. My husband got to rib special. The fries were good but you get a very small amount. The ribs were so incredibly stale and tough. He was so disappointed. I still recommend folks give this authentic, new, family restaurant a try, the bad ribs could be a one-off or just stick to the tacos to be safe.

100% going back!! Authentic! Truly what we were hoping for, We went in for 5pm grabbed 1 of 2 tables at this Mom n Pop feel with wholesome home cooked food. Brisket Tacos were my absolute favourite! I can't wait to try the burritos and full Brisket next time!! Muchos Gracias!!

I discovered El Rincón completely by their Inflatible Cactus Man while at their Pitfield location. Decided to head in when I saw their board had Qesadillas because I love Quesadillas. It was the best Quesadillas I've ever had. I ordered Chicken Quesadillas but you can mix and match with steak too if you want. You get 3 pieces for $15 and they come loaded. The chicken is so good you can taste the grill marks. The store itself is bright and warm and the staff is friendly and will let you sample toppings if you're not sure. I definitely recommend this spot for authentic Mexican food in a plaza already filled with amazing food options.
