El Grito Mexicano

Decided to try this place as its new and busy, and has great reviews. The pictures of the food looked very appealing. In person, very sad. I was very disappointed. The tacos had barely any toppings, small amount of cabbage… cabbage is very cheap, why is there barely anything on it? It looked like 0 effort and love was put in. For $5 a taco, I had higher expectations. Not to mention no lime served with fish and shrimp tacos! The fish was not crispy or hot, it was soggy. The side of tomatoes that come with the tacos is only enough for 1 taco. The shrimp tacos in other pictures came with 6 shrimps a taco… why did some of ours only have 4? The aguachile was pretty good and had a good kick to it. I liked the chips it came with, but there could have been more chips. It worked well with a side of guacamole. The margarita was good and large, but no alcohol! Someone should have made sure to mention that when someone ordering. I probably wouldn’t have paid 8$ for it had I known. The horchata was grainy and not smooth. I had high hopes and unfortunately the things mentioned above are critical for a good experience.

The food was incredible. I came here with the family at 2:45 on a Saturday afternoon & the place was packed. That speaks volumes. But..... the service was slow & that needs to be worked on if this restaurant wants to succeed. I didn't catch my servers name, but if I ran a restaurant, I would hire her in a heartbeat. She was all by herself for the 1st 15 minutes of our visit & she did an incredible job. But like I said the service was slow. We were served our appetizer before we got water. When management reads this, that is on you - not her. Oh....& get a liquor license asap. I don't go out to eat often but when I do I'd like to enjoy a nice cold beer.

Okay so I've only had nachos so far but they are so good I'm leaving this before my meal. I will leave another review when I'm done my meal but WOW. Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere 10/10... Okay okay had enchiladas. Wow holy. I would sell a kidney to eat here again lol

I loved this. The cheese dip with chorizo was served with a heap of crunchy chips, the salsa verde is super bright and delicious & the shrimp in my tacos were perfectly done. :) Service was fast and super attentive, and I enjoyed every bite with some leftover to take home for later. Thanks guys! I'll be back soon with friends.

omg everything here was amazing!! the food, the service and the vibes!! had their birria tacos, birria burrito, and frozen margaritas! everything was sooo tasty and probably the best mexican food i’ve ever had in the GTHA. I will absolutely be going back and will probably be making this a regular spot :). I will say the booth seats are a bit narrow so if you feel like you might need a table instead to sit comfortably, I would call ahead and reserve a spot. Otherwise amazing place everyone in Hamilton should try!

a comfortable place, pleasant sound and music, representative Mexican atmosphere, cordial attention, and especially delicious food, harmony of flavors and traditional presentation, it is advisable to try tortilla soup for this winter. you still need to try more dishes

The food was so delicious!! Ordered some tacos al pastor, and a Mango margarita! The food came quick and the service is so humble and fast! They make sure you're enjoying the food for sure. Love the atmosphere in this place. Will definitely come back for more 😊

Holy S#*T!!! I am one taco in of each and these Tacos are unreal!!! I walked in and ordered take out! Took about 15 min and ordered the Barria and Baja Shrimp tacos!! The batter on the shrimp is crispy and delicious… lots of pico and delicious slaw!! The barria Tacos are just heaven!!! I will order again and again
