East Side Mario's

Very average food. But a good time nonetheless. Went today on new years day and they were out of a few items but the staff was very friendly, especially our waiter.

My son loves east sides and asked to go for his birthday! It started out great, the host was quick made sure our table was clean then sat us.. once the rest of our party came we ordered drinks which was fine, but after that it was unfortunately not.. the waiter took 5 of the 6 guests orders and had to be called back so the 6th member of our party could order.. one of the orders was for a side salad with no bacon every order came with bacon, and when asked for a different salad the dressing requested was ignored. We then waited 45 minutes for our order to come to the table only for 2 of the 6 to come very dry and missing the chicken and cold and the robot to be sent back with one of our orders still on the tray. Having to wait until someone noticed and brought it to our table. When we asked for extra sauce for the chicken Alfredo, the waitress kept stating she “wasn't our waitress” and walked away.. We then asked for drink refills only for the waitress to not be paying attention to placement and spilling the drink all over the table and floor thankfully just missing my son. When it came time for the bills we requested that the bills go 3 ways only for them to bring it back completely wrong and when we asked for it to be fixed it was all put on 1 bill. In order to not have to go through the process of having the bills separated once again we paid as one bill.. our bill was almost 200$ and this was sadly our experience.. Unfortunately since the ownership change the dynamic of this restaurant has completely gone down hill which is sad as this was one of our favourite places.

Food was cold. Clearly spent too long under the heat lamp. In addition they over-charge for the soup option. Salad was gritty like the lettuce not washed properly. Waiter came to take our order and never again for the hour we spent there. Very meh experience.

I don’t even know where to start….service from Jovani is always 5 star I am NEVER disappointed when he’s my server. Always makes my drinks to order and food is always brought out with a smile. He is every easy to talk to and always makes you feel welcome and cared for. Amy I have no words for except for hard working. She is always on the go and always serves everyone with a smile. She is every easy to talk to if something is wrong and she always makes You feel like family. Fantastic choices for employees. I am always happy to come back whether it’s lunch or dinner I always know I’m getting good food and good service. 😉

My family and I went there last night, about 14 of us total to celebrate a birthday and the staff were amazing! The food was good and everything came very quickly!! Our server Amy was the best. She was on top of things and so unbelievably kind! We loved our experience and are looking forward to the next visit.

Happened to see that they were bringing new technology ‘A ROBOT ASSISTANT’ to help with the heavy food delivery for their staff! That’s fascinating!!! Cannot wait to see how the robot works! Will definitely come back to check it out! Oh for the good, always love their linguine!!!

We were hungry and were in the area for something with chicken parmigiana and found East Side Mario’s at Gibbs in Oshawa. We enter the restaurant and waited maybe 1-2 minutes and we were seated. Jen was our server and she was just joyful to meet… she started us with Peppermint Tea, water and a Cadillac margarita for my wife. We were served drinks and our soups followed ( yum Italian Wedding )! Our main course included the spaghetti and meatballs and for me was the Mario’s Mangia Sampler … recommended for the explorers in you!!! Jeje … it was all worth it …finally we had a little mini treats desert triple chocolate mouse cake and a mixed berry cheesecake. Overall the experience was awesome!!! Enjoy.

Came here for a group work lunch. The restaurant was not too busy on a Friday afternoon which was great. Seated quickly, service was excellent. Food was fresh, just missing flavour , little salt and pepper and you’re good. Felt it was bland but the ingredients were great quality. Loved the spinach dip and the flat bread. This location has ample parking and is group friendly.
