Dumpling Restaurant

Heard really nice reviews about this mom & pop restaurant but my experience was terrible. We ordered the following: lamb dumplings- these were decent Pork soup dumplings- extremely thick skin with no soup in them at all Chicken dumplings- very dry and with thick skin Their chili oil had no flavour at all. It was just oil. The server was fine but I’m almost sure we were served food that had been sitting for a while and was reheated for us.

As for a Chinese from the southern region, this place produce some quality dumplings. There are over 10+ options of dumplings, plus many other good fried dishes. Ordered the steamed meat dumplings with some herb inside. Juciy and warm dumplings can heat up your body in the cold winter night nicely. There is one more dish I like, the beef wrap. I forgot to take photos cuz I was so hungry when it served first, lol. Two person end up with 4 reasonable dishes for around 40 bucks, good value for the quality.

Food was awesome and good value for quantity and price. The Chive, Egg, Pork & Shrimp Soup Dumpling was delicious. Would definitely recommend. The Sweet and Sour Pork was good. The pork was juicy inside and the breading was light, crispy and crunchy. The sweet and sour sauce was awesome. The mixed rice in stone hot was okay. It could use more veggies and sesame oil, as mixing the rice made the mixed rice a bit dry. Overall it was not too bad. Heads up, they do discount if you pay cash. It’s 5% discount.

We were craving dumplings the other day and what better place to go than a restaurant that is simply called Dumpling Restaurant. We ordered some steamed dumplings and well as some pan-fried dumplings to compare how they stacked up against other dumpling places we have gone to. I’m happy to report that they were pretty darn good. There was a decent amount of meat in the dumplings and they were reasonably priced. Other standout dishes we ordered were the Green Onion Pancake and Pork Bone Soup. The pancake was crispy and thicker than many other places while packing a good amount of flavor. The soup was a good way to keep our palate honest. The meat was extremely tender and the broth had a good aroma. Overall, this place was is a solid choice for people looking to carb-load with delicious dumplings.

This is my go to dumpling place. Best in Scarborough. Service was great! The food was even better. We got - Fried dumpling: really good, loved the dough - Soup filled buns - Fried rice w chicken - Sorted steam dumplings

Located in a hidden plaza across Perfect Chinese Restaurant. My brother recommended this spot and it did not disappoint. We came on a Friday night at around 8:15pm and it wasn't too busy. My top picks were 2. chive, egg, pork & shrimp dumpling where each dumpling had a full shrimp and 44. The fresh cold noodles perfect for a hot summer day. Everything came out hot and delicious. Highly recommend and would come back. I definitely want to try the fried rice with beef next time (off menu item).

This place is always busy. Their dumplings are everything you wish for. Juicy, flavourful and plump. They have a variety of side dishes as well. But their dumplings are still the best. Recommend steamed and panfried

Overall it is a restaurant that provides authentic Dongbei cuisine. Fresh Cold Noodles: 4/5 It was tasty. The soup was sour and sweet. The noodles were chewy. I did not like the cucumber and apple were not fully cut. I was expecting strips but they were all connected. Chives, Egg, Pork, & Shrimp Dumplings: 4/5 Like dumpling wrappers with a chewy texture and filling with juicy meat.
