Dum Biryani

Incredible experience eating at Dum Biryani, they make authentic Chennai style biryani - we got the mutton biryani and the mutton biryani with chicken 65 toppings on it. The portion sizes for the food was plentiful, each biryani can serve two people comfortably. We got 2 biryanis for 3 people and frankly, that may have been too much. This is a takeout-only restaurant and the food is ready whenever you want to pick it up. The biryani itself was hot and seasoned well, the portions of meat in the biryani were generous, and the mutton itself felt like it was melting in my mouth. I'll be returning again for sure. The owner, Muhammad Harris, also brought out a small cup of chai for me when I came to grab the food. It was a small gesture but it made me feel great and I'll be back now with friends in the future.

It was my first experience ordering from Dum Biryani. Ordered the Dum Biryani and Chicken 65. I’ve never tried a South Indian Biryani before. It’s a little different from what I am used to but it was great. I want to take a minute to appreciate the customer service as well - they were very patient while I discussed what to order and also offered me a complementary tea while I waited for the food to be ready.

Eid Mubarak! I was guaranteed a chennai experience when someone spoke about Dum Biriyani! I absolutely agree with the comment and totally stand by it! We ordered a mutton biriyani and chicken 65 as separate dishes. The quantity sufficed for 2 adults and 1 child ( medium eaters). Tasted amazing! Very close to SS biriyani.. authentic.. The host was very kind! They gave me a cup of tea as it was raining.. very kind and humble! Recommend it big time, the aroma never leaves your hand! Enjoy! Thank you, Dum biriyani! Saw an Instagram reel and ended up going to this place ..!! It’s take out only … love the way they pack for take out in their paper boxes..!! Very elegant and no spills ..!! We ordered chicken and mutton biryani along with chicken 65 and Gobi 65 ..!! Everything was amazing ..!! Definitely different from your chairman’s and other Andhra / pakistani places ..!! Coming back for more ..!!

Great food.. ordered the Mutton thoku and chicken byriani chicken 65 combo.. great gesture by Mohamed to offer a hot cup of tea.. took me back to India.. the tea tasted amazing as well ! Looking forward to you guys opening a shop soon... They are getting better everytime...

I'm not a big fan of biryani but out of blue I decided have biryani for dinner, checked google and found this place, called them and order chicken and mutton buryani. I can't handle spices so had to tell them and I would say their biryani is beyond my expectations, very tasty, balanced level of spices and the meat was good too. In future, whenever I'm craving for biryani, I'm ordering for them. They were really generous by adding raitas and sweets for free, thank you so much for that, you guys are awesome.

One of the best authentic South Indian Biryani I have tasted in recent times. I have tasted their Chicken Biryani, Prawn Thokku Biryani, Mutton Biryani and 65 and the taste and quantity was fulfilling. Before I forget, their BREAD HALWA was ultimate and the taste remains in the tongue for longer time. I will definitely recommend this place if you need a feel good food.
