Plenty of desserts varieties to choose from. Gotta be smart when you pick your dessert though. Same are very bitter as it is “herbal” ones. Place is always packed and sit is a bit uncomfortable (i guess it was done in purpose so people dont sit in for too long As there is always people lining up at all times - good strategy though) but overall pretty decent asian dessert place

Inaccurate hours of operation. Sometimes they are closed when they are supposed to be open. Tasty desserts. Prepared fresh and at the perfect temperature. Staff are as friendly as expected. Very uncomfortable chairs so you don't stay too long. This small location can get cramped quickly.

I was extremely upset and angry when I discovered a bug inside the dessert. I requested to speak with the owner, but he initially refused to come out and instead had the staff offer a replacement dessert. I insisted that they ask him to come out, and he eventually did. He didn't apologize and had a poor attitude. He canceled the order, and I left. I would not recommend this place.

Feels like I'm back in China with the detailed decor and tasty dessert. They really do put a whole fresh mango 🥭! Definately worth making a trip!

I went with a friend whose family is from Hong Kong and who really wanted to try here as there are no places that they know of in downtown Toronto. This was my first time trying these kinds of desserts and it was delicious! It is clearly very popular with the local community and seems like a cherished spot as there was always someone waiting to be seated. The staff were friendly but as it is so busy they are not able to check on you as often. Also some items sold out which is bummer but an excuse to come back and try them! If you want try authentic Chinese dessert soup I would recommend and as would my friend who had tried this in Hong Kong.

I'm not usually into sweets or Chinese desserts, but visiting Double Ming Chinese Dessert was a lovely surprise. The place had a classic Chinese look, decorated with various art pieces. The tables were circular stone tables with wooden frames, paired with matching stools. There were no regular chairs, so I had to keep my jacket on an adjacent stool, which, thankfully, remained in place throughout my visit. Here's what I tried: Steamed Egg White with Milk: This dish was like a hot, soft milk jello in a bowl, with a texture resembling that of silken tofu. It was a straightforward, comforting dessert with a gentle sweetness, perfect for soothing the stomach. Assorted Fresh Fruit with Fresh Coconut and Milk: It was seasonal fruits cut into bite-sized pieces in a bowl of light coconut milk. Simple and satisfying, it was sweet enough to enjoy without being overbearing. The menu had so many items without detailed descriptions or photos for new visitors, which I found inconvenient. However, I thought many items offered good value, and I had a good time. I’d like the return again for some more Chinese desserts.

my favourite Chinese dessert shop, in the summer you must come to try their mango sago. today we ordered the peanut tang yuan, which was excellent. Perfectly chewy, not too sweet, the sesame paste was just right. Definitely recommend. The almond paste and the grass jelly are also notable mentions! Will continue to comeback! edit: i come here often and tried new items from their menu, all absolutely fantastic.
