Doner State

Another average addition to the droves of Doner spots opening around the city. Taste and quality are passable, nothing stand out but not bad by any means. Portions could be better, especially for the fries I received in the meal. Overall not a bad spot if your in the mood for Doner and in the area. I'd probably try it again some time but given how many options there are in the city it's hard to say when.

clean and friendly service. portions are insane. $7.99 chicken shawarma pocket with all the fixings, one of the best deals in the city especially for the size. today i got the shawarma plate with beef and it was so big and filling. this is the turkish version of chipotle.

really fresh chicken, it’s well seasoned too and not the old recooked stuff like a lot of the other restaurants serve. the wrap is served in a saj as well which is less chewy than a pita and more soft. sauces are good, the toppings were fresh as well. my favorite part about this place is that they add fries into the shawarma if you ask. great food, great quality, great value, and great portions! manager and all team so kindly thanks

One of the best place downtown, Toronto to get food. I been coming here 2-3 times a week with my little girl. Staff are super friendly. Inside is super clean, lot of seats and space for stroller/ wheelchair to move around. For the price you can not get a chicken sandwich for $10 that tastes so GOOOD. Vegetables are freshly cut, counters are always clean, staff always have a friendly smile and so welcoming.

Decent but a lot of room for growth. We'll start with the pros. The environment is clean and new. The food options are good (sandwich, plate, wrap). The sauces and toppings are nice. The cons are the meat spit is puny and they don't grill it after cutting it. Instead they put it in some warming drawer. The prices are also very high while the portions are average. I want to support them again because there is a lot of potential. For starters get a cook top and heat up the meat after cutting it, ditch the awful wood cutlery before someone gets a splinter and cook the fries a little longer so they're crisp. I hope you take this review into consideration. I'll be keeping my eye on this place. You won't notice but I'll be passing by and occasionally taking a peek to see if that meat is grilling or if it continues to be confined to the little meat prison of a drawer. Until then I won't be back but I remain hopeful.

Good service, good food, good spot to eat at. Came here with a co-worker for a quick bite for lunch, and had ourselves the beef shawarma wrap. The beef was juicy and the toppings were all fresh and flavourful. I would recommend anyone that enjoy shawarma to try this spot out.

Got the chicken shawarma saj wrap and it was DELICIOUS! They were also super nice and inviting when we came in, and gave us a small fry for free! I live in the neighborhood and will definitely be back :).

This spot has awesome wraps! So glad we stumbled upon it. Definitely gives that place on Queen street a run for their money. The meat here is so juicy and flavourful!! Super friendly staff too. I’ll be back. I recommend the mixed meat wrap - delicious!
