Doc Magilligan's Restaurant & Irish Pub

My very good friend and I love to go to different places/towns/cities for lunch. I had never been here before but my friend has once. We chose to go September 5th. Absolutely gorgeous pub. It’s huge. There’s access to a private expansive area offering dining and entertainment Thursday through Sunday. The tin ceiling in that area is dark black with a beautiful wood bar and red plush seating. I was speaking with our server Onya about the decor, she said the owner had everything made in Europe, Victorian inspired, and had the pieces shipped over. The result as I mentioned earlier is absolutely gorgeous it’s as if you’re seating in a pub in Ireland. So authentic. I started with a very refreshing and delicious Blueberry Smash Mojito - Vodka, Chambourd, Blueberries, Lemon, Ginger Ale and Mint. 👍🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️ I experienced a supremely delicious Apple and Brie Grilled Cheese, boasting a delicious blend of sliced apples, dried cranberries, brie cheese, and arugula on crispy sourdough bread with a side salad and a dill pickle … ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻🙌🏻🤤😃💯 Carol had a very delicious Brisket Grilled Cheese, smokey beef brisket with brie and cheddar cheese, caramelized onions on crispy sourdough bread with a side salad…❤️❤️❤️ It wasn’t busy at all, regardless our server Onya was very personable a definite asset to Doc’s. Thank you Onya!!!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Absolutely unreal. The food is nuts here and they have one of the best whiskey and beer selections in the falls. Definitely going to be returning here in the future.

This is located at the front of the best western. There is a direct entry from the hotel to the restaurant. No outdoor needed. The environment is clean and smells good. We were seated quickly and took 2 mins to be assigned a server. The server was polite. She assisted us to even make options. The tea and coffee was cold. All in all, the food was not bad. The prices need to be a bit more competitive.

Sat in the area and had the most fabulous waiter David. He was super attentive and hilarious! Made a delcious bloody cesar. We all had the breakfast boxty. Everything from the actual boxty, to the beans, and grilled tomato had great flavor. Very happy with the overall experience and prices were super reasonable! Big thanks to our waiter David 😀

What a popular place. Its pretty big and every table was taken. Haven't eaten Irish fare in a long while. Portions were plentiful. The staff was friendly. The curry I had needed a bit more punch (spice) but otherwise a nice change for a meal out.

First time there and we went as a group to celebrate a birthday. It was very busy and very loud, this contributed to me feeling a real lack of atmosphere, other than a few food items, nothing like an Irish pub at all. Our Server told us they were new and couldn't answer any questions we had. They were friendly but not really too helpful for information or recommendations. We ordered a couple of appetizers for the group, which took about 30 mins to come out. They were tasty, we had spring rolls and Irish nachos. I asked if one of our party of 7 could have their Fries cooked crispy and was told "it's really busy, I doubt it." I ordered a steak & mushroom "boxty" - potato pancake wrap and it tasted good and was big. Lack of parking spots didn't help the experience either. $300+ for our dinner with a couple of drinks for half of our group. Would I go back? Maybe, not on a weekend, that's for sure. Semi-miss for me!

We can hear for dinner with our friends and we got seated right away even though they were quite busy. The server gave us a bit of time for our drinks and got us our drinks soon after. We all got suggestions for our food and it was all delicious and we got completely stuffed. We had a really good time and would definitely recommend this place for dinner.

We come from Toronto to Niagara and try to go off the path a bit because it’s always better. We found this place and were not disappointed at all! Super yummy authentic pub food and huge quantities! The waitress was lovely and very attentive. I believe her name was Tori, super sweet and went above and beyond for us making sure I had extra sauce and lots of take out containers! Also gave good advice on food. Live music was fantastic as well. We will come back next time we’re here ☺️
