Dim Sum 3/5 Service 2/5 Decent place for dim sum but was nothing too special. The service could be better in terms of waitress attention and cleanliness...

Had dim sum in DIM SUM KING in China Town. We ordered Gen Tao chicken, sea food fried rice, sprig rolls , both shrimp and chicken, Roast Duck, pan fried shrimp and chives dumplings, har- gow, beef ribs, and white rice. Food was good. Bill came to $153 plus tips. Good service , attentive service.

The restaurant was spacious and not busy on a weekday. All of the dishes we ordered were OK, I’ve had better dim sums. In my opinion the radish cake could be crispier on the outside. The soup dumplings wrapping was thick and filling wasn’t the best. Nonetheless it was reasonably priced and the serving size is good.

Dim Sum King is as authentic as you can get - this is one of the few remaining places that has staff pushing the carts with dishes around. The prices here are pretty good relative to other places in Chinatown. The food is okay. The best thing we had was the pan fried shrimp dumpling, which I've never had at any other restaurant. Otherwise the rest of the typical dim sum dishes were good. The issue was the curry cuttlefish - it had a really fishy smell to it and honestly wasn't that good. Overall though still happy to see places like this around!

Visited with a group of family and relatives during a recent visit. It’s a fairly okay to decent dim sum in Chinatown, as they serve dim sum more traditionally using carts as opposed to using only order forms. During weekends, they seem to be fairly busy as most tables were filled even during the late morning to early afternoon so there may be a wait if arriving right at Noon or later. They offer many of the classic dim sum staples along with a few cooked noodle and entree-style dishes. Most dim sum came fairly freshly made and some of the wait staff were able to point out what the item was. They also offer a la carte items but you would need to ask for a menu if ordering off it instead of their dim sum.

Went here this past weekend with some friends. Some of the food was good while some of it really was not good at all. My favorite food by far was the pork buns because they literally came fresh out of the kitchen. The food comes on plates and is served by waiters who walk around with the food on carts. You tell them how many plates of food you want and it is shared by everyone at the table. The bad part about this is you can tell which food is not popular because when it comes to your table it is cold. Had some chicken wings and those were completely cold and I only took one bite and left it on my tray. It was an interesting experience but I wouldn’t go back again.

Met up with some friends for dim sum. They have the traditional push cart with a various dim sum dishes. If you do not want to wait for the push cart to arrive, can take your check and go up to the push cart and ask for the dish that you want. Weekend this place can get packed. Week days not so crowded, don't expect your favorite dim sum dish to be available. Service was good. For people that have not experience dim sum, they do have a menu with the photo and name of the dish.
