Desi Mane offers a variety of food options at prices that are quite affordable compared to other places, which is definitely a plus. It's a budget-friendly spot if you're looking for a quick meal without spending too much. While the menu has good options, I found the taste to be underwhelming. The flavors didn’t stand out, and the food lacked the punch I was hoping for. It’s not bad, but it’s not the most flavorful or memorable experience either. Overall, Desi Mane is a decent choice if affordability is your priority, but if you're looking for exceptional taste, it might not fully meet your expectations.

This used to be a very nice place. The weekend banana leaf meal was one of the best in Toronto. Lately they have only been doing take out on weekends due to staff shortage. We really hope that they get over their trouble and the place keeps operating.

Food was excellent. Way too good idli, honestly best I’ve ever had. Coffee was strong and delicious. Service was friendly. Everything is guaranteed fresh.

Love the snack menu and taste here. Also tried their special banana leaf lunch, usually available on weekends and public holidays only. The special lunch has unlimited servings to feed on your tastebuds and if you are big on food. The food tasted homely and usually on the mild spicy side. You will drink the Rasam and enjoy every gulp of it. Great food, simple unpretentious ambience.

Sambar vada - must try. Gobi Manchurian(dry) - over sauced and over fried. Was not soft nor did it feel like a vegetable. Veg pulav- good. Service - well we went on a sunday after church for lunch- was not busy - few tables with food already served and we waited few minutes before a menu was presented. Food came on time but we had to wait for our cutlery after food arrived. So we were sitting looking at the food like when can we eat. Next we asked for a takeout container and it took enough time for the pulav for become crispy and dry before it arrived. Food is good but service could be more organized. Servers were quiet busy however table co-ordination was missing. There is enough parking and a bus stop right at the intersection by brimley and sheppard.

Had ordered for my sons wedding. The food was very good. Chef Narayanan had made all the dishes so well. Presentation of the food was also fantastic. Was appreciated by all the guests who attended the wedding. They service provided by Desi Manè was wonderful.

EDIT: The quality has deteriorated rapidly. Went last week and I found the coffee terrible. Also, sometimes the food seems to have hair strands. Well, Sangeetha is one of the big names in South Indian dining. My family used to visit this place often. Desi Mane a franchise of Sangeetha? is not any different. I loved the taste. The same authentic South Indian. The environment was nice and the service was lightning quick. They got everything with in seconds. The chutneys seemed to be fresh. I loved it. 100% recommend for a great South Indian experience. 🙏 The restaurant is open to customize dishes accordingly to your taste. The panner 65 was soft and was delicious. Ghee podi dosa could be a little less dry.

We had a weekend lunch special. All you can eat is a vegetarian meal. The service and food were excellent. This is a traditional south Indian lunch experience. They serve on banana leaves. The only issue is you are allowed one-hour sitting since they want to serve as many people as possible. I must say, the service was speedy. Overall it was a good experience.
