Dejavu Mediterranean cuisine

Came new years eve. Restaurant had Decent speed service, good food and large portions. Lady servicing was kind and efficient. Store was clean. Great option for a large swarma at a decent price.

The lady insisted we get bowls because they were on special. But it was just with fries. We wanted a plate but we were pushed to buy this bowl for $17.75+tax. It was too dry, no rice option, no salad. They didn't want to make that plate or God knows. The lady wanted us to do take out but i had to ask if we can sit. Had to ask twice to use the washroom because she told us the "owner" closed it. And apparently this "special" is not in their system so they can't give a receipt. Never coming back again She then lied and changed her story. I asked for the plate but she insisted on the bowl because I asked her for rice and salad etc. I asked the lady if we can eat here and she said yes. It's funny your employee turned everything around on us. We don't like to waste food and definitely did not "leave the door" Train your employees and yourself for better business ethics.

I initially thought the plate ($24) seemed a bit pricey, but based on the good reviews, I decided to try the bowl ($18) instead to sample their shawarma. I was surprised by the size — it was HUGE! I expected it to come with a salad along with the side, but you only get 1 side (garlic potatoes, fries, or rice) with the bowls. I chose the garlic potatoes and they were topped with the chicken shawarma, garlic sauce, and hot sauce. The portions were so large that one bowl could easily serve 3-4 people, so the value is definitely there. The chicken shawarma was tasty — well-seasoned, fresh, and with a nice char. The sauces were rich and flavorful, and the garlic potatoes were pretty good too. That said, I’d probably go for the plate or add a salad next time since it’s definitely a heavy dish without some freshness.

My husband & I ordered this food last Wednesday, and it was delicious. We ordered the chicken shwarma and lula kebab. We ordered for the purpose of doing a taste testing because my 30th birthday party was in a few days. The food tasted very authentic and was very filling. We decided to cater from here for my birthday party. We ordered off the catering menu (for 25 people). The owner was very accommodating and gave us an eggplant stew and 15 extra falafel at no extra charge. My guests really enjoyed the food, and I will be ordering again from here in the future.

Dejavu is a very delicious Mediterranean restaurant. They give very generous portions which can last me two meals. The meats were made well and super delicious with their sauces. The salads are also very good. I would recommend this to anyone for maybe the best Mediterranean restaurant in vaughan. I look forward to coming back and trying other dishes. We got their Lula dinner and Lamb shish kabob. I would recommend calling to place order if you can pickup as well.

Wow, ordered off skip to try and wow!! Ordered the chicken schnitzel with rice, salad and added hummus!! The portion is fantastic and everything tasted excellent!! Will definitely be ordering from you again and will highly recommend

Oh. My. Goodness. I've always loved Mediterranean food, but Dejavu is LEGIT. I was already expecting the food to be good based on the reviews, but my expectations were blown away even further. The chicken was grilled to perfection, so juicy, and full of flavour. The salad was so fresh and tasty. The rice so light and flavourful. And the potatoes were amazing too and cooked just right. The portions are very generous and fair as well. The lady working there was so friendly and recommended what to order based on what I was craving. I got the chicken skewers with salad and half rice half potatoes. The place is definitely a hidden gem, and now it's my favourite Mediterranean and grill restaurant in all of the GTA. I wish the plaza did a better job at promoting their shops because it's so hidden, she deserves more customers.

We had stopped by here after our trip to Wonderland and so glad that we did! Their food is delicious especially the hummus with eggplant. Falafels are soft and flavourful. We also tried their lula kebabs which were moist and full of flavour. Their serving size is big. The owner was very kind and accommodating. Their rice was very soft and enjoyed by our toddler.
