Portion size is decent and the Malay Laksa soup was nicely spicy. But the tomato and pumpkin fish soup was overpowered by the tomato base with fishy scent which was just tangy. The crystal noodle was too soft and not chewy enough. Beef brisket was tender and choy sum also good. The red beans in the drink were overcooked and soggy. Lemon tea was fine. Don’t understand why they have to use strong cleaner to mop the floor while people are still eating.

The most delectable soup noodles in the Markham and Richmond Hill region. Their Laksa broth and Udon are particularly noteworthy. For a reasonable price of $16, one can enjoy a customized noodle bowl accompanied by a beverage.

Would love to give this restaurant 5 stars but... what happened to their chicken wings?! Their drummies were so deep-fried that the meat was gone. Definitely not worth that $4.99. Everything else is delish though - from their savory and aromatic soup bases to the quality of the toppings. Hope the meatless side order of wings is a one-off.

I love how their soups always come out super hot. The options for customization are also very good. I always get their laksa noodle. Highly recommend getting the beef brikset as one of the toppings as they give a pretty big portion. I also got a takeout order of their Tuesday special, Maggi sauce pork chop rice, but the pork was a bit tough.

Been coming to this Deer Garden for many years with my family. The staff here have gotten to know my dad and are always kind and patient with him which I appreciate. Food portions are generous and is prepared very quickly. My go-to combination is original fish soup, beef brisket and cuttlefish slices, udon, and a hot lemon tea. Ask for chili oil to put in your soup! It really takes their fish soup to the next level.

This is one of the best place for Chinese rice noodles in town. You can select your own soup and toppings. Each rice noodle combo comes with two toppings and a hot drink. You can also add a side order or upgrade your drink with a few dollars extra. The food was really good and the portion was reasonable. This place was casual but clean. It was a nice cozy place to enjoy lunch and hang out. Will definitely go back again!
