I was struggling to leave this one-star rating as all businesses need a break, and it helps when they do get good reviews, but I can't leave a good review. I was hesitant in going to this caribbean restaurant as it's not my go place to eat. Parking is convenient, and the establishment looked like a hole in the wall, but I thought I gave them a chance as they do have a lot of good reviews. The lady at the front was nice to me and very pleasant. it looks like she was also the cook. After I paid, she apologized for not adding the hot sauce in the shrimp roti but gave me a take away hot sauce. I took the roti back to my office and one bite in, and what a disappointment, the salt was unbearable and not edible. I tried getting into it, but it's just TOO MUCH SALT. If you have blood pressure issues, you could have problems, I'm not kidding. In the end, I took a few bites and threw it out. Besides the salt, something about the shrimp wasn't sitting well. It was overcooked and "rubbery." I just wasted $21.65 for a small shrimp roti. unfortunately, I would not be going back to this establishment again. I do apologize for this bad review, and maybe this was a one-off, but they would not be getting my business again. Sorry for this bad review

Very VERY friendly interaction with Patsy!!! Shes so sweet and welcoming. Great atmosphere in this homey caribbean restaurant. The food smells HEAVENLY. I got the stew chicken and rice special. DELICIOUS. definitely recommend if you’re missing a warm caribbean meal. :D

Went to Debe’s after seeing a review on tik tok. It exceeded my expectations. The dhalpurie was light and fluffy and packed with peas, plenty of jerk chicken and the hot sauce was fantastic (ask for it on the side if you can’t handle spice) Randy was very welcoming his service was excellent. Will definitely be back 10/10

This is hands-down my favourite doubles place outside of Trinidad and Tobago (and I have been to various ones spanning continents). It took me an hour and a half to get here by train and bus, but it was worth it..so much so that I went back again! The doubles is melt-in-your-mouth great! I also had a fish sandwich, which was fantastic; seasoned perfectly. I love their pepper sauce! The owners are attentive, friendly, and I really wish them continued success. Every time I am in Toronto I will be sure to visit!

Editing my review from previous months: Amazing. By far the best doubles in Toronto. Always fresh, filled with a lot of saucy channa, with perfect flavor balance and spice level. Great service and great value. You won't regret coming here.

Wow these pholouri are excellent. I thought the bone in curry chicken was my favourite choice. The boneless goat was a little stubborn and tough, even though the sauce was flavourful. Maybe I am tough to please. Overall I am pleased and will order again soon.
