Great place for breakfast with the locals. The atmosphere is a reminder of 80s North American diners, and so is the breakfast. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive. The food was just perfect. I loved the omellete and the home fries. The prices are very good for the portion and service as well.

I had a service appointment in Newmarket and the staff recommended this breakfast spot. It has a few locations but I think it is ‘independent’ but not sure. I try to stick to independent restaurants, but at times it is difficult to tell if it’s a stand-alone or franchise. There are three locations in the area. The server was very friendly and top notch. The coffee tasted fresh and good quality. I try to eat fairly healthily, so ordered the Avocado toast and eggs. I am a big dude and was not sure if I that would fill me up so I also ordered a side of hash browns, thinking they would be seasoned potatoes. Unfortunately they were a bad version of the McDonalds fried hash browns. Bad choice. As is my nature I didn’t send them back, and regretfully ate them. Automatic heartburn and my cholesterol went up two points. If I had stuck with the Avocado Toast and coffee I would have given the food a 5/5. Anyway, price point was good and I would go back.

My family and I have been going to the Yonge and Mulock Day Break location every Sunday morning for years now. Every experience is always wonderful and the food is great. We are always served by the male waiter. He is the best waiter I’ve ever experienced. He’s so friendly and always serves us with a big smile and a great attitude. We always look forward to seeing him and Alice every week. He’s patient and very friendly! Although we didn’t see him there last Sunday, we all look forward to seeing him this Sunday!

Our family have become regulars at this charming diner in Aurora. Alice is the most wonderful hostess and treats everyone who walks through the door like family! I don’t think she forgets a face!. The food is delicious and plentiful and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We love it and have made it a Sunday morning family tradition. Thank you for the wonderful care and service!

Had a great lunch today at Daybreak. The food and service was excellent. I had the French toast with a side of bacon. Portions were large and it was a great value for the money. Will definitely go back again!

I want to start by saying this review is based solely on my visit earlier today. I’ve been here 4–5 times before, and the service was always excellent. Unfortunately, today was a completely different experience. While the food was still fantastic, the service was terrible. I was "served" by the male waiter. I arrived at 2:20 and was promptly handed a menu. When he asked what I wanted to drink, I mentioned I needed a moment to decide and would order with my meal. He walked away but came back within a minute, order pad in hand, expecting me to be ready. I told him I was still looking at the menu and needed another minute or two. His response? "We close at 3. I don’t mean to rush you, but I’m rushing you," all while standing there, staring at me with his order pad. That should have been my cue to leave, but I stayed. Feeling pressured, I quickly ordered eggs Benedict, a dish I’ve had here before and knew was good. When he brought out the food, he didn’t say anything—not even a simple "enjoy your meal." Throughout my meal, he never checked in to ask how things were. Instead, he was busy prepping the mop bucket. When I finished, I went to the counter to pay. Again, no inquiry about my meal—just a quick transaction and the total. Reluctantly, I left a 15% tip, though he didn’t deserve a cent. He didn’t even thank me as I walked away. As I exited, I overheard him arguing with a food delivery driver. It was clear this individual lacks the demeanor and attitude necessary for the service industry. I will NEVER return to this restaurant, and that’s unfortunate because the food is outstanding, and the waitress who also works there is lovely. My rating: 10/10 for the food, 0/10 for the service.

Amazing food and the prices are so reasonable. We love coming to this place, the service is always friendly and never disappoints. Wish I could give more then 5 stars, these guys are really hard workers and it shows!

Great breakfast spot at a fair price. Friendly and fast service. There was only 2 people working (one kitchen and one front of house) but they worked really fast. The restaurant was more than half full and everyone got served pretty quick. I was really impressed. The speed of the service did not even lower the quality of the servicr or food. I was very satisfied with my overall experience dining here. Server was proactive with refilling my coffee cup with I loved because at some other place you need to wave them down. Definitely coming back here the next time I'm in Newmarket.
