DRS was the place for real trini style doubles and roti quality, that is before the orginal owners sold the shop. The food has change from texture and lacking seasoning, and not to mention pricy. Maybe I will give another go if I am feeling it but my last experience with hard channa/chick pea in the doubles, lack of chutn ey turned my mind.

Good double. Would’ve liked to have tried the saheena but was sold out when I went.

Tried the doubles and roti, not bad, but I've had better. The small goat roti is quite small and pricey, but the large bone-in chicken roti fed two ppl and was a good price. I enjoyed the chicken roti, the curry had a nice flavor. The doubles lacked chutney and other sauces, which would make it taste closer to a Trini doubles. The bara was tender but the channa could cook a bit more. Service was pleasant with a smile, please note that they currently accept cash or debit only--- they also don't have a public bathroom there. It's takeout only. Overall, I'd have their food again but will try something else

I heard sm great things about this place like 5 years ago. I always meant to go but life happens. So I was over the moon when I just happened to be in the neighbourhood. The food is unnecessarily oily. Which means the oil temperature when cooking ain't right. The price to quantity ratio was a rip off. $12 for a MINI roti, nah man. That full size price. I would be embarrassed to take any family visiting from Trinidad here. Its aiiiight. Like, if you're feening for roti and aloo pie, it'll pass the test. But if ur looking for GOOD trini food, like rell good?! You can miss this place. Dunno why anyone would say you HAVE TO go here. It's just alright. Maybe it was a better spot 5 years ago.

This is mainly a take out place but it does have a tiny tiny area that you can eat in. I had three doubles as my early dinner snack. Each one is a bit bigger than the size of my palm. The taste reminds me of the doubles from Trinidad. They were very good and I would recommend. Next time I would ask for a bit more tamarind sauce in the doubles.

Food : 7 Service : 7 Price: 6 I got the chicken with rice and peas that comes with a bit of coleslaw. It wasn't anything amazing, but it was good. Feel like a mom and pop type of food Price was a bit high for me as my plate cost ~$18. I'll be coming again to try the roti next time

Excellent take out roti shop. Came in just after opening on a Thursday and was served immediately by a friendly and kind worker. He asked me if I wanted hot sauce on my two rotis. Waited a few mins while it was being prepared. Paid by debit - they accept cash or debit only. Delicious!

Was craving island food and luckily found this place not too far from me. Small hole in the wall take out place. The guy behind the counter was super friendly, courteous and d9uble checked my order several times ro make sure he got it right. No line but I came at 2pm on Friday. Ordered 2 doubles and 1 boneless goat roti to go waited not even 10 minutes which was greatly appreciated. Doubles had that nice soft chewy bread were always looking for and channa filling was lightly spiced and flavourful without being overly spices. The sweetness of the channa came out which was nice and the dabs of hotsauce gave it the small kick I was looking for. Small goat roti was generously stuffed without too much potato filling (thank you) and had a nice thick sauce. Goat was tender and had a great flavour. Will definitely be back here when I'm craving island food again. Thanks guys for the great meal.
