We ordered two sandwiches Brisket and Cubano, we both think that the brisket is better than the cubano. I’ve had better cubano sandwiches. The cubano is just okay, it missed the mark. Also I grew up eating pickled Korean veggies and I make them myself but this one also missed the umami mark. The Staff are just amazing and we will be back for the Brisket.

Got the spicy chicken sandwich with cheese, delicious and flavorful, bun was fresh, light and airy, portion size was great. Will definitely come again. Staff/owner were very friendly. Highly recommend.

Yummy. Great brisket sando aside, I admired the wrestling figures and Arrested Development playing with volume on.

Wow! I heard about this place from a friend and thought I would check it out on a random Wednesday. The first thing I’ll say is that I’m not really a sandwich person. I don’t really like sandwiches. I’m generally more of a dinner person but I decided to try to sandwich it as I heard good things about it. I came on Wednesday at about 12. No lineup and very quick service. The staff was incredibly helpful. Very friendly they told me all about their sandwiches and sides. I ended up going with the classic beef brisket sandwich. I decided to add on cheese and I even got extra meat so I got the extra meat on the side so it wouldn’t fall out of the sandwich because I find a lot of sandwiches there. I also got some kimchi. I ended up getting some cornbread as well so that wasn’t the original plan but they had some first need to try for free and it was so good I couldn’t resist. The first thing I’ll say is that this is probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not a sandwich fan but this was absolutely amazing. The cheese was grilled and became a hard shell. The beef brisket was so soft it literally fell apart if I pulled on it . clean the sandwiches very well together. The bread was fresh and it stayed hard and crispy despite the amazing amount of meat and toppings in it. The sandwich was huge and probably could’ve made two meals for a very cheap price. I got extra meat separately but didn’t even add it to the sandwich as a sandwich was already massive. This was definitely an amazing sandwich and probably the best sandwich I’ve had. I will definitely be back to try the other sandwiches if I can pull myself away from eating another beef brisket. Definitely everyone should go and try this. I can’t even describe how good it was. The last thing I’ll mention is that it took me about 20 minutes to get home with the sandwich in a takeout container and when I got home it was still hot and the bread was still crispy. I love this as often as I take out food gets cold by the time you get home or things like bread get soggy

Highly recommend the brisket sandwich! So delicious, moist, flavourful and paired with soft, freshly baked bread. Definitely get the cornbread as well!

Unreal sandwiches. We tried chicken with cheese and the brisket. Check their instagram for the weekly specials. They are a small spot with one table inside. You can call ahead to order. Highly recommend the cornbread.

DAM Sandwiches is one of several newer restaurants on Oakwood Ave that have transformed the street from an afterthought to a gastronomic destination in the city. It's been around for about three years now and has already established itself as one of the best sandwiches in Toronto. We had the brisket and the spicy chicken sandwiches (there are a few staple sandwiches and a weekly special: this week was turkey BLT but it was already sold out). Both sandwiches were exceptional. The bread was perfect — super fresh and nicely toasted. There was a nice mix of herbs/vegetables in the sandwiches (the brisket had roasted peppers and hot peppers, and the spicy chicken had cabbage), the sauces complemented the sandwiches perfectly, and the meats were both exceptional. The brisket sandwich also had hickory sticks on it! That was a smart idea, they add a delicious crunchy texture The sandwiches were basically the platonic ideal of a steak and chicken sub, and the pricing is reasonable. I'm glad to have finally visited DAM Sandwiches and I look forward to my next visit!

A very small mostly take out spot (there's a single table for two) which serves the city's best sandwiches imo. They have a rotating special and my faves so far are bulgogi beef. I've also had their brisket sandwich and it was awesome also. I feel like everything on the menu is great. The bread is particular amazing - soft with a crusty outer shell that is just perfectly crunchy. This has become a staple spot for me. The place is run by literally one or two people and can have a little bit of a line up on weekends. Well worth the trek and wait though.
