Dalhousie Yacht Club Restaurant

We have been choosing the take-out meals from the YC restaurant at holiday times for the last 3 years. Consistently, quality meals with portions big enough for 2 Oldies in 1 meal. This year the dessert was especially exceptional. Thanks

Went to this restaurant for the waterfront view, the view is amazing, food was great we had the Shrimp Penne and Another Shrimp/Haddock meal, totally forgot the name but it was good.

The server that greeted us at the entrance was very snotty and rude. Never got to try the food but I hear that’s good. We were going to join the social yacht club while we were there, but this incident left us speechless. We are seniors that live local and we were very surprised at how we were treated.

We had a nice time on the patio for dinner with a few friends! They had a nice cocktail menu with a lot of variety and decent beer selection. Their fries and salat were delicious! However my lobster and shrimp salad on a role left much to be desired. Otherwise it was a nice mean right on the water.

Service was excellent. Friendly and helpful. My sirloin was all grissel, so they upgraded me to the baseball sirloin which was amazing. The flatbreads were delicious although my father found it a bit spicy. My son enjoyed the chicken fingers too. Lovely view from the patio. Definitely suggest reservations.

For the first time in the 20 years I've been in the Port Dalhousie with my business. I decided to walk over from my boat and enjoy a dinner and a few drinks at the yaucht club restaurant. I checked online and made sure the restaurant was still open. The online hours on their website said it was open till 10 pm. So after viewing their menu. I was looking forward to enjoying a good meal. So I walked over and walked in the door at 9:15 pm. The moment I walked in the girls said all tables are full in the patio. I made sure to let them know, that I seen many tables open. Then they said to me, ok the kitchen is closed then. They didn't even say it nicely, they actually said it really rudely and turned around and ignored me. I was totally shocked and felt horrible. As a restaurant owner, I was absolutely shocked. If any of my staff left a customer standing there and were as rude as they were, with zero explanation. They would instantly be dismissed from their position, or written up. I've literally spent a fortune on gas from their gas dock over the years running my local business. I have referred so many of my customers to go eat there. As I was told it was a great place. I will never buy fuel from the gas dock again. I will never send another customer there again either. I just can't believe how rude the staff was. Customer service is everything. First impressions go a long way. Pretty sad actually. Because of two really rude staff. The PDYC will never get any of business from me. Nor will I refer any of my customers their again. Remember that customer service goes a long way.

We stopped here to eat while passing through town. I needed a place that would be accommodating for several food sensitivities, and they were INCREDIBLY attentive and accommodating. Our server, Emma, was very conscientious, and double checked everything for me. Service was quick, dinner was delicious, and the view was great. I am so grateful, and would recommend the club to everyone!
