Going to bars and doing my work has been a hobby of mine for over 15 years, and I've been to over a thousand places around North America. Dakgogi is my new favorite spot in Toronto. I've been here twice now, and my experience was amazing both times. The staff is incredible, the music is awesome, and the food is actually very good. I usually go to bars to work, mainly for the drinks, because so many places, especially in Toronto, have disappointed me with their food. Dakgogi has everything I appreciate, and the food is great. The only downside is that I live quite far from here. Perhaps that's a good thing because otherwise, I'd be here all the time🍻

Cute decor very with the halloween theme. Very dark inside for the vibes. The food changed a lot. The chicken wasn’t really crispy anymore. The portions have definitely been reduced as well.

Food: 4 Stars Service: 2 Stars Ambience: 3 Stars Value: 3 Stars Overall: 3 Stars As someone who frequently enjoys Dakgogi's takeout offerings for their consistently high quality, I was eager to experience their dine-in service with friends recently. However, the experience fell short of expectations. We opted for their half chicken special (opting for the spicy and onion creamy chicken), but unfortunately, they arrived overly sauced, which masked the natural flavours and texture of the meat. The sweet potato fries, usually a side we look forward to, were disappointingly lukewarm and lacked the crispness we've come to expect. The service, perhaps the most crucial aspect of a dine-in experience, was noticeably lacking. It took an uncomfortably long time for the waitress to address our basic needs such as water refills and providing napkins. It felt as though the staff were more focused on fulfilling takeout and delivery orders, neglecting the patrons dining in. Despite these shortcomings, the atmosphere was pleasant enough, with a comfortable setting that could have enhanced the experience if the service and food quality had matched. In conclusion, while Dakgogi continues to excel in their takeout offerings, improvements are necessary for their dine-in service. Enhancing staff attentiveness and ensuring food quality consistency for dine-in customers would greatly enhance the overall dining experience. I remain hopeful that these aspects will be addressed to provide a more balanced and satisfying visit in the future. kellychan360

They really need to work on their packaging. They pack the food in a cheap paper box and secure it with just one rubber band. When my food was delivered, I couldn't help but suspect the delivery driver had eaten a few pieces of chicken. Given the extremely poor packaging and the strong smell of the chicken, I can imagine the delivery person being tempted to take a few bites. The photo shows what I received, which cost $30 before taxes and fees. The portion is quite ridiculous. I wonder if the owner is thinking of his restaurant business seriously when the offer delivery service in such a poor manner.

We had soy garlic and snow cheese on Monday buy 1 get 1 at half price. Soy garlic: classic taste, however if you want to taste the crunchiness, this shouldn't be your option. Snow cheese: really nice, maybe the best cheese fried chicken I had, didn't get boring when we shared. Chill vibe, mainly (K)pop in the background. A lot of Koreans ate and drank beer here.

With the saturation of Korean Fried Chicken places in this area it’s difficult to stand out, but Dakgogi does exactly that. We’ve been here a few times now and have always left with satisfaction. We always get the Bulgogi Fries, which could be a meal in itself. It’s topped with a lot of ingredients that look a bit overwhelming, but it somehow works out with each bite. Needless to say, the bulgogi is delicious makes this entree one of our favorites. The wings are always consistently cooked right and the flavors are on point. Although we like all of the flavors we always gravitate toward the Prinkle, which is their powdered cheese flavor. Their Yang Nyeom Chicken is also in our regular rotation. They allow you to adjust the heat level. The hottest variety packs a decent amount of heat which is balanced out with the sweetness. There aren’t that many tables and it tends to get busy the later it gets as this is a late night spot.

Been here couple of times, my favorite is the hot soy garlic! They half price wings every Tuesdays! We got rice balls and wings and it was under $20 per person with tax and tip!
