Dairy Queen (Treat)

Ordered a custom cake online, received order confirmation. Went to pick it up on pickup date as indicated on confirmation form and the location was closed (January 13, 2023 at 4:00 pm.) No sign or anything to indicate why it was closed (in the mall no less). Beware of this location!

New item on menu fruity blast chocolate dip for cones. It’s a fun light purple colour and reminds me of the taste of yellow fruit loops cereal. It looks better than it tastes but kids had fun trying it out. Probably just stick to basic chocolate dip cone next time

One of the workers here really needs to understand how to manage a crowd. It was close to closing time, and the workers had poor communication with each other because one of them was saying that they were closed, and the other one was saying that they were still taking orders. It was super confusing in an organized on their end, and that resulted in a lot of waiting in line. It made some people upset because they had to give up their line in spot because in the end they were closed. I managed to get my order in, and I ordered a Oreo blizzard dirt pie. Firstly, the menu is super confusing and I can’t really read or see anything. I didn’t even know I was ordering that, I just saw the first thing and just ordered it. But there was no image or description at all so I didn’t even know what I was ordering. When the worker pulled out some gummy worms I was like, oh my goodness I didn’t even know they were going worms in this. There’s not really a problem, but it would’ve been nice for me to know ahead of time. The ice cream itself was really good, but honestly I think it’s a little bit overpriced.

I was standing in line waiting on my break to get ice cream from this place. Two girls butted me in line to get a water bottle, after I told both the girl and the worker that I was clearly next in line they BOTH ignored me and continued the transaction, the cashier even knew I was next because he called me FIRST. He knew I was next and normally I would be nice and let the person go ahead of me but on my short break don’t have that much time. I work in the mall so I know how hard it is to serve costumers but common decency isn’t that hard.

I'm not sure the name of the lady that I spoke to. However she is phenomenal. She made such a beautiful ice cream cake and went out of her way to be friendly and even offered me a discount. Amazing customer service. Would highly recommend.

I ordered a Blizzard and got less than what I expected, obviously they cut corners here and provided an inferior product to the customers here just to save themselves a few cents each transaction. Our Blizzard was watery and tasteless and very little Oreo content. Both my children noticed it right away, because they had the same product at the Dairy Queen at the Tomken Plaza and it was a far superior experience. Now I know where to go next time when I want a real Dairy Queen experience not at Square One for sure. Learn to treat customers fairly for what they pay for.

So I went in yesterday to dairy queen with my kids to be served by a very unpleasant worker . That was not the worst, when she made our order the ice cream machine was popping so the ice cream was not coming out properly. She went to do something to the machine and used the same wet hands to continue on our orders and passed me wet ice cream. I didnt take it! Extremely disappointed. 🤨🤨
