Daddy's Chicken

Daddy’s chicken is delicious. Very reasonably priced for insane flavour. The hot sandwich was amazing - as was the garlic parm corn! Wait time was well worth it for a fresh meal. Looking forward to the next visit - great job!

Ordered 5 pieces of fried chicken and a burger. All of the chicken was fried is old oil, the taste of the burnt oil is inescapable. I don't think it's possible for whoever made this to not have noticed owing to how it smelled well before tasting. I have untouched chicken pieces and part of a burger I've thrown out. Don't do this to your customers.

In the interest of transparency one of the business owners is a customer of mine at my place of business. However, if I didn't like what I got from the restaurant I would have told them in person the next time they were by and not on this platform. I'm particular about my chicken sandwiches and fried chicken, so I got the basic sandwich and a chicken dinner combo for lunches for the rest of the week. The sandwich was very good, a chicken first taste not dominated by sauce or slaw. The chicken in the combo was very juicy and tasty as well. I have a regular spot closer to home that I visit every week, ritualistically, but I can see myself ordering from here at least once a month to support my customer like they support my business. I'd like to try the other sandwiches they have on the menu.

Daddy’s Chicken serves up excellent sandwiches, with the spice coleslaw being a real treat. Don’t miss out on trying the hot sauce—it’s the perfect match! The “Little Classic” is a great choice for those on a budget, and, by the way, there’s nothing “little” about it! The onion rings are just right, making the whole experience even better. Definitely worth checking out!

Came here for dinner last weekend. We got the Classic and the Big Daddy, with sides of fries and mac and cheese. A couple things to mentioned. - has a conditional pass for DineSafe, couldn’t find out to why it was just conditional. - No air conditioning, eating a hot meal in a hot room isn’t ideal - default for all chicken is dark meat, white meat is a $2 surcharge - all chicken is cooked fresh to order which is nice, but be prepared to wait 15+ mins for your food. - sign out front with menu items that weren’t on the menu inside, the menu inside we were informed they were out of several items.. confusing and overwhelming. The sandwiches overall are huge! But you do pay for it, it’s not cheap with sides and drinks. For what we ordered it was about $60. The classic was the way to go, felt most like your traditional chicken sandwich. Fries were very salty. Mac and cheese was good, freshly grated Parmesan on top which was nice The big daddy was just way too big, couldn’t finish it. Doused in caso fake cheese. Would have preferred less of that and the chicken tossed in a hot sauce with pickles. Ideally I should have ordered something else. Would return, but would order ahead, bring my own drinks, skip the sides, review the menu closer and order something smaller.

I waited 30 mins for 1 chicken sandwich. I know they make everything fresh but I think 30 mins is way too long. The sandwich was good, the flavour of the sauces was great, however the size was a little too big making it difficult to eat. One sandwich comes to around $20 - which I think is too pricey.

I got the classic sandwich, and onion rings. Total was $19~ after tax. The sandwich was decent at $13. Quite literally a deboned breaded thigh with slaw, and pickles on a potato bun. Less oily than KFC down the road. Onion rings are not worth it. the same style/type as Loblaws. Probably would try the pickle chips next time.

I’ve had an ungodly amount of fried chicken sandwiches in the city and theirs AMAZING. The flavour is great, the size is massive, and there a lot of toppings compared to your regular schmegular sandwich. I ordered the 5 piece bone in, hot sandwich, fries, Mac & cheese, and a side aioli for $50 + tax&tip. The chicken is crispy and flavourful and everything is made fresh to order so I’m fine with the price point. The staff were so friendly and very welcoming. An amazing addition to Leslieville!
