Da House Of Jerk

My jerk chicken order, placed shortly before noon, arrived stale. This was my first order, and the staleness is unacceptable. Is this a consistent issue, serving customers stale food at the beginning of the lunch service? I am very disappointed and concerned about the food safety implications.

Kelvin and Friends Cook Up sent me here. First time I went immediately I felt like I was a regular. Nass is exactly what the front of the house needs. Positive personality, friendly, welcoming, she really is just a whole vibe. The food now OMG, mi stop cook, and I have only been twice since I heard about it. Went today to get my seafood medley, curry and garlic and YESSSSS 10/10 definitely recommend. I cannot wait for my steam fish next Friday with all the fixings. I had to come back and add to this review. Went here yesterday November 27, 2024 and Jah Jah mi feel a way. Next time mi guh I need to see the manager PERIOD..Jahjah mi feel a way still

Extremely disappointing experience at House of Jerk. Service was absolutely horrible. Staff seemed disorganized, unfriendly, and unattentive. But the biggest letdown was the food. I was expecting authentic, flavorful jerk cuisine, but what I got tasted like nothing. Seasoning was completely off, and dishes lacked depth. For a place called 'House of Jerk', I expected jerk seasoning to be a staple. Sadly, it tasted like bland, uninspired cooking.

Going to this restaurant was one of the worst decisions of my life. I chose this restaurant based on its rating on Google Maps, which is definitely incorrect and misleading. The staff’s behavior is extremely bad and unfriendly. The woman taking the orders seemed to be tired, angry, and hopeless, and she didn’t even have patience for herself. Other employees also appeared exhausted and miserable, as if they were working in this prison out of sheer desperation and misery. The worst part was the food served. I ordered the jerk chicken, and the woman took some leftover chicken from the kitchen behind (which was out of sight), which was clearly old and hadn’t been sold for several days. She microwaved it briefly and handed it to me. The chicken was completely dry, tasteless, and had a foul smell. You also can’t dine in this restaurant; you have to take your food with you. The woman only gave me a small, low-quality plastic fork to eat this awful food with.

I was super excited to try this spot out but unfortunately we were not able to. Our first impression walking into the restaurant was how good it smelled & clean it was. we were really craving jerk chicken & the restaurant said the jerk chicken wouldn’t be ready till atleast another 30 mins, so not till 2:45. The BBQ chicken and fried chicken looked really good, I’m sure would have tasted great. Call ahead before driving all the way here.

This was the best Jamaican food I have ate. It is seasoned perfectly; not too spicy and full of flavor. Simply the best curry goat I ever had. I ordered alot of food so I can bring some back to the states. The fresh pineapple ginger juice was delicious. They ackee and salt fish was awesomely amazing. I could decide the second time between brown stew chicken and the curry goat, so I got both. 😋

The food and the service was fantastic. Thank you very much to the Da House of Jerk staff. Everything tasted so good, I’ll be ordering again. I forgot to take a picture of the banana pecan cake. It was good. I also ordered the Jerk Pork a few nights before also very tasty. Sorry I have no picture of that.

The food was AMAZING and well worth the price. Well seasoned and spicy like I like. I got a nice portion for the cost. It's a bar lounge setup. Roomy inside. The music was good also.Our server was really nice. I will definitely be going back for some sea food.
