Ordered the chicken steak with tomato sauce, with a cream soup. The tomato sauce is sweeter than other places ice tried. Food was good overall. Place is a bit too dark for my liking but was ok.

Yesterday went to lunch with friends. The restaurant as a whole feels old, but tidy. Occasionally, I would like to eat in such an old Hong Kong style tea restaurant. The food tastes OK. No surprises. Finally, I lay down the waiter to find 5 yuan (gave her a total of 80, tip is 67.5), and she found one yuan for me😅... Anyway, there's no interest in doing it again, not just because of the few dollars🙃

Hole in the wall HK style diner in my native plaza. The interior brings back nostalgia from the days of the 90s and early 2000s Chinese restaurants, but it is a little run down and could use some upgrades. Service was typical from a classic “cha chan tang”, I spoke with the waitresses/aunties in Cantonese, but I do believe they speak some English as well. And typical in the sense that they were straight to the point, and quick. They would refill my tea glass when it was empty. But enough jibber jabber, lets talk about the food. Theres variety, and a lot of Hong Kong classics. I had the curry chicken, which came with rice, milk tea, and a Chinese soup, or tong! The curry chicken wasn’t anything special, but man, did it come out fast. As soon as I placed my order, and went to the washroom, the chicken curry was ready for me to demolish. It came with sautéed peppers, and some yummy golden potatoes. And can we talk about the milk tea! It was so good! I’ve had milk tea in Hong Kong before, and this decadent drink was right up that alley. The tong wasn’t anything special, but the food was overall super comforting, as if someone’s uncle or auntie cooked it for you. I got some chicken wings to go for my sister (8 for 13$), and although the wait for these were a little longer, it was well worth it. The wings were fragrant, well-sized, and not at all oily. From the chicken wing tax that I usually take, I bit into a crispy exterior into a juicy and tender chicken interior. Mmmmmm. The wing was well seasoned, and is definitely worth getting. They mainly take cash I believe, but you should clear that up with the aunties at the register.

It's an old style type of casual food restaurant. Had breakfast there. Menu is about 10 to 15% lower than similar type restaurants. Not much variety offered in their menu. Food is so so. I would pay abit more to get better quality.

I recently visited this restaurant and was overall impressed with my experience. While the service was decent, it wasn't anything particularly special. However, I have to give credit where it's due - customer service in Toronto is often subpar, so the fact that the service here was considered good by local standards is definitely a plus. The real highlight of my visit was the food. Everything I tried was delicious and clearly made with care and attention to detail. I especially loved the curry chicken with rice, curry beef brisket and the ham and egg sandwich. The portions were generous, so I left feeling satisfied and happy. All in all, I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a tasty meal in Toronto. While the service isn't exceptional, it's certainly better than what you'll find at many other places in the city. And with food this good, it's definitely worth a visit.

I used to come here a lot when I lived around the area with my mom. The food is tasty and they are super quick. Their deep friend wings, fries and fruit salad is SO good. I'm always having a hard time deciding what to eat here cause everything on the menu is so delicious.

Have gone there three times for takeout of their weekly special. Each item included milk tea and choice of soup. The foods are not salty or greasy which is great for seniors. I would rate their milk tea a 8.5 out of 10. Soup is pretty good also. Since I ordered 3 items, the waitress offered all three different soup. Total bill was under $45. Yes I left them a small tip and will come back again.
