Cravins Caribbean Grill

Normally I would rate this place a 5 star for taste. However I recently had a bone in chicken dish and it was straight up chicken carcass. Looks like the leftover carcass they just chopped into four slices added jerk sauce and served on top of rice. They cut right through the bones leaving small bone fragments throughout the rice. In the end there was a small, maybe 5 bites of actual chicken. The rest was all bones, skin and even the chicken kidneys were in there. Very disappointing, would never order this dish again.

Dish: Oxtail with rice and peas Food: Meat was way too gamey. the taste and smell was off putting. coleslaw was passable and portion size was fair. Service: Not terrible but not good either, however most Caribbean restaurants make you feel like a nuisance - so the standard is quite low. Ambiance, Environment: Modest, Minimal upkeep ,old chairs and table (wobbling), Music was good not too low or high. Overall: first and last time i visit this place. i could get over everything else but it just got amplified once i tasted the food.

Servers are not friendly whatsoever. You smile at them and they just give you a blank stare. Ordered the jerk chicken dinner. Asked for extra oxtail gravy and I barely got any at all. Also the rice was really mushy. Their services and food quality has gone down in the past few years and I will not be going back. Highly DO NOT recommend.

I personally didn't eat here but my mom bought me back food for dinner. The boneless curry goat with rice and peas was phenomenal. I will definitely be in person soon to buy more food. love at first bite.

This was my first time trying Cravins. I was simply looking to take out. My first impression when I walked in I was greeted by good vibe music. It has a nice atmosphere but there was no hot food nor service at the front desk. Not a good look in my opinion. After about a minute or two, a dark skin woman in her 20s came to serve me. She wasn't very friendly when I asked a few questions about whether or not I could get two meats in a dinner plate and the size options. After I placed my order, she went to the back to put everything together. You cannot visually see any food being prepared. I order an ox tail dinner which comes with rice and peas and coleslaw. It was tasty and served hot. The meat portion was on the smaller size but over it was filled with all that rice. Overall, I'd give this place 3.5/5. There are better places to be had. The price was average and fair.

Good portions and Good Vibes. The food was a bit under seasoned, but It had the right components for the dishes. This is a great spot for sensitive eaters. They also have a different lunch special everyday that ends at 3pm be sure to check it out.

The same old restaurant, it just got a new sign. Staffs are very friendly and positive with full of happy energy, portions are huge no matter what you get, and foods are delicious. Please ask for hot sauce, it is worthy to challenge!

Food was exceptional. Oxtails very tender with spices done just how i like it, salty with a good amount of kick. Some do it sweet and I'm usually not a fan. Roti was a little to saucy but flavor and skin was great. Jerk chicken had a nice kick to it, but not overpowering. The decor needs a bit work, too dark and hot. It looked like the place was closed if it weren't for the OPEN sign. Will definitely be coming to this joint when i need my carribean fix. Should be 3.5 star!!!!
