Cosy's Diner

We have lived in the neighbourbood for 5 years now and hadn’t visited Cosy’s until tonight. We heard they have good burgers and sandwiches so we ventured over for dinner. Good food and good service. We plan to come back and try breakfast in the near future.

We went for the Christmas turkey dinner. Very very good. Comparable sauce to places like corrado's. Very very good. Decent portion wasn't too bad at all. I was waiting for a time to write five stars for this place. I love her atmosphere and when I asked for tea she gives me an entire kettlesworth. Five stars galore. The sauce was very nice, the turkey was so moist! Complements to the chef and owner. I hope the Cosey store continues and prospers. Love the breakfast as well. Eggs are perfect. With a random hint of here and there with character of food items. The cook is definitely Expressing his ability in very good ways.

Wonderful experience at Cosy’s Diner tonight!! I had the home-made cheese burger with french fries - delicious! Exceptional service - very friendly and speedy! We’ll be back, that’s for sure!!

I love this place. The food is good especially sipping on a coffee/green tea. As you relax, while listening to the music. The service is good and the staff are VERY FRIENDLY & POLITE!! I have no problems with this place!!

I have searched far and wide for the perfect eggs florentine and found it here! The most delicious homemade hollandaise sauce paired with perfectly poached and fluffy eggs, a fresh and perfectly toasted English muffin (I asked for some shredded cheddar and they happily obliged) and yummy spinach and tomato in the exactly right portion. Every bite was incredible. You can taste the quality and freshness in all ingredients and real butter. The homefries were also done to perfection. I couldn't ask for a tastier potato with just the right amount of seasoning. Classic old-school diner delights with a homecooked gourmet flair. Somebody give this chef an award! 👏 🏆 The waiting staff are lovely, kind and helpful. I wasn't sure what to expect when I first walked in, but I loved the music decor and the classic rock and my favourite; blues music, great atmosphere and the tastiest florentine around! Ooh also, BEST PART🌟- it's ALL DAY BREAKFAST no 3 pm cut off, in case you dilly-dally 😊

Came for breakfast in the afternoon, I didn’t leave hungry that’s for sure. Food was really good home fries weren’t for me personally but the staff was very nice, diner was clean and the atmosphere gave the old school vibe. Exactly what I was looking for.

This was our first time trying out Cody's Dinner in Oshawa. The atmosphere was pictures, records and many other items from the 60's give or take. The staff was very friendly and helpful, lots of items to choose from. It's like an old fashioned mom and pop restaurant. They have a kids and seniors menu section. They have something for everyone even non-meat choices. The plaza has lots of parking spots. The place is well kept and clean, even the washrooms. Please see the pictures.

Cosy's Diner has been a breakfast staple for many Oshawa residents since 2016. I ordered the Early Bird Special, 2 eggs over easy, two breakfast sausages, rye toast, and the coffee is not included with the special but it is decent tasting, hot and endless. First, the service was fast, courteous and attentive. The 2 eggs were for sure large which they don't advertise. The reason for me mentioning this is many breakfast places will advertise 3 eggs but they are usually small. 2 large eggs = 3 small eggs. The 2 eggs were a good size serving and cooked perfectly. The homefries are chunks of potatoes, deep fried and seasoned. They were hot, fresh and crispy on the outside and the center cooked soft. They tasted good and fresh with no ill flavor from the deep fryer oil. Many places have stale dirty deep fryer oil. The breakfast sausages are giants compared to other places. They have a slightly different flavor than the standard mini breakfast sausages but still ok. For me I wasn't a fan but I think many people might really love them, I was just looking for the flavor of the minis this morning. Overall this is a clean neat place that gives you great breakfast value. The service is nice and friendly. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a quality breakfast under $10. Cora's and Sunset Grill can't compete with this place for price/food value. Check Cosy's out next time you're hungry for breakfast and you're in the Oshawa area.
