Costa Sorrento

I got the Tagliolini Funghi E Gamberi and a slice of cheesecake for dessert . My pasta was okay but I wasn't overly impressed. The prawns were small, the portion good, the plating meh and looked really messy. I'm not sure how intentional it was but it wasn't Pretty. The overall taste wasn't anything to write home about. And the service was very mediocre for such an expensive place. The food came out fairly fast but bo one ever came to check in on us between ordering and the food coming out. Our water was perpetually empty. Dessert was okay, again nothing standout which was dissapointing considering this was one of their specials of the day. I would say it's worth a try if you share a pizza (my coworker said it was tasty) and maybe if you really like pasta but otherwise I think there's better and way cheaper places nearby. It wasn't a horrible experience but I personally wouldn't go back

Decent Italian food with a nice interior! The millefoglie dessert was great! Two things keep them from getting a higher score: 1. I got my main course before my cocktail, but not because of the cocktail being slow but because the food was extremely quick! I'd like a chance to finish my cocktail before my main course, please! 2. Please pour the wine from the bottle at the table, don't bring me a poured glass. It gives a fresher and nicer feel, and I like to see the bottle so I know I'm getting what I ordered.

Taste of Italy without going to Italy. Delicious, authentic Italian cuisine in a classy and warm setting. The octopus, pizza, calamari were all amazing and their yummy gelato just perfect. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, their staff always smiling :) Will come back soon! Will definitely go back!

Just tried this place on the weekend and the food is really good! Their pizza texture is true to Italian pizza and their pasta is also delicious! Located in the heart of downtown Markham. staff are friendly, they are also family/baby friendly. Can accommodate big groups as the restaurant is quite spacious. Love their decor, ambience and the space! Perfect for lunch and dinner. They have daily special for soup risotto and entrees. I will be back esp since I eyed their 4 foot mixed grill platter for 2-3 that I want to try next time.

As I went with my friends on a Saturday night, we made sure we made reservations but after we were seated at 8:15pm, we did not get our food until after 9pm! I would know as I was hungry and ready to eat! Our server did not care about us as he was busy chatting up other tables and one in particular that was already finished eating. It was not until we had to ask about our food that another waitress goes up to the man and he tells us that they are just plating it now. I felt like it was a lie as the tables were all served before us and there weren't any more tables that haven't been served yet. He was too busy chatting. The food was forgotten and hastily brought up to us. One of my friends and I got the same pasta dish and both agreed that it was cold and the side pieces of rigatoni were "air" dried which dulled the taste. Had it been warmer, the taste would have been better. I do not like making the distinction but it was so noticeable I had to point it out. In a town that is so multicultural, the restaurant should be embracing the different types of people that come to try out authentic Italian cuisine. I felt excluded with my friends as we did not have even 10% of the attention that some of the other tables were receiving. Our waiter spoke a total of 4 sentences to us compared to the full on conversations other tables were receiving. Two people in particular (the older man and woman who worked there) even began sitting with diners who had their food and just chatted. If you want to act like the owners, don't be servers. They are two different jobs entirely! What good is a restaurant if you isolate yourselves to a certain type of clientele when you have people that are willing to make this spot a regular? Honestly, just make the trek to Eglinton - there's much better Italian restaurants like Grazie which taste great with cheaper prices.

We went for lunch and the ambience was great. Got ourselves gin and tonic and for starters we got the Bocconcini Di Pizza Vegetariani but instead of vegetarian got the meat option and then one of the daily special item called the Burrata. Personally I liked the Bocconcini more. Make sure to drizzle every dish with the the chilli oil (provided in house) for the extra kick in flavour. Then for the mains we ordered: 1. Pennoni Con Ragu Napoletano, Ricotta Salata 2. Tagliolini Con Funghi E Gamberi In Salsa Aurora, Erbetta Cipollina 3. Calzone with chicken 4. Bologna with Spicy Bomba And a daily special dessert - Baba something that has rum and pineapple in it. Personally I would rank them as per follows: 2,4,3 and 1. Dessert was pretty good and we shared it among 4 people. Of course, this place is expensive. Overall, great place with good food and service.

I 💙Sorrento - You will feel the same way after a visit to this fantastic place. A family run Italian restaurant, the food is amazing. We also happened to be there on a Sunday evening when they have live music. We had Bocconcini Di Pizza Vegetariani and Minestone Soup as an appetizer, for our mains we had Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina and Pennoni Con Ragu Napoletano. The meal was amazing, so much flavour. Dessert we shared the sampler. The cocktail of the weekend was Almafi Sunset, so good. Everything was amazing the food, the service and atmosphere, we’re definitely going again! 💯

I love the food here, every dish that we tried were excellent. Highly recommending you on food here. Highlight to me was the pasta!! The only downfall was the service, the servicers were not very organized and always forget what we requested or ordered so we had to keep reminding her. With this price range, I would expect better service. But she was nice, just not this price range's service level. I would return for sure!!
