I'm updating my review to 5 🌟! (Should have done this while ago.) I love coming back and recommend the restaurant to anyone. I started going to CHOAG in September 2024 and am happy to have a wonderful local neighborhood restaurant. The food is aesthetically pleasing to look at, with fresh quality ingredients and yummy taste with a good portion. I suggest the hot sauce... real heat with depth 🥵; and try the slaw. Every part of the restaurant is well done: the food, the drinks (love the cocktails and ginger beets for the morning after 😉), the smoothies, the art on the walls, the cleanliness, and the wonderful friendly staff.

Honestly, I just had the best breakfast sandwich of my life! Every single part of it was perfect—the flavor, the texture, the freshness—it was like they somehow knew exactly what I wanted in a sandwich. It wasn’t just good; it was mind-blowing. Plus, they whipped it up super fast, so I barely had to wait, and the service was spot-on from start to finish. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed happy to make my day better. If you're looking for a place that does breakfast right, this spot is an absolute gem. Can't wait to come back!

Great place for brunch! The food was so delicious and filling. The slaw had a great smoky flavour, and so many dishes could be made vegan and vegetarian! They also could adapt everything on the menu to be gluten free, which was very helpful. I definitely recommend the patio in the summer, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be coming back soon!

The food is not the traditional Mexican fare but it keeps the essence of it with a Canadian spin, chilaquiles are a lot like nachos and huevos rancheros have a slaw on the side rather than the typical lettuce on top but it all works. You can park for free a street or two away and their patio looms nice but it was too hot when we went so stayed inside where they treated us promptly and friendly.

Very lovely place with super helpful and friendly team members, a lot care put into the food and lots of vegan options. Something was up with my coffee and it was promptly replaced with a delicious one. The Vegan Heaven sandwich is generously filled, satisfying, creamy and crunchy. My friend loved her salad bowl. Looking forward to trying more options soon. It’s very cute inside and they have a really nice patio as well.

I came with a bunch of friends from out of town and found this hidden gem. The food was so delicious and healthy. The staff was friendly and we will definitely come back! Loved the avocado parm sandwich and fish tacos!

My friends suggested this gem! I ordered the cool hand salad and a coffee. The coffee was decent, considering it's not a cafe--totally understandable. But let's talk about the SALAD--it was pure heaven, generous portion and oh-boy was it delicious! The hot sauce was DELICIOUS, I had to bring one home! Everything made in house is what I love most about this place! Also, you can tell the level of care & love the owner & staff put into the food and the restaurant! Definitely be back to try everything on the menu!
